$260 for Star Ocean is ridiculous! I occasionally have a couple for sale, and I charge less than half of that price.

If I were to design/commission a manual for this, would there be any interest?

In my opinion the Zelda BS series of games are among the best Zelda games ever made! There a real treat for any retro Zelda fan ,it's a crying shame that these series were never release (offically) outside Japan.

It turns out the so called "Master Quest" version of Zelda AST is actually just a fan based hack of the original AST rom.So there's only one set of 4 weeks available for the official game, the Master Quest is not part of the official Zelda BS series.Which makes sense because the original Zelda ALTTP does not have a second quest after the game is beaten ,unlike the original game on the Nes.

I recreated that box in NTSC style for a member here. Don't bother asking that dude for his art files, he's not interested in sharing.

I have it too. In NTSC-U and PAL version.

The Parallel Worlds cart contains the original A Link To the Past and the Remodel version of the Parallel Worlds hack.

Ultimately it doesn't matter if he wants to share or not as you guys at Timewalk are going to be doing a CIB release anyways.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but the complete translated ROMS for all of the Satellaview Zelda games can be found here on the bszelda website. Not sure if posting links to ROMS is acceptable so just Google "bszelda zeldalegends".

Is there any place with the switchless game on sale?

And about Timewalk, I've seen a little different design for the SOM2...

This is not from Timewalk isn't it?

No but Mana 2 is an very popular game for people to repro. I'm sure at some point back in the day it's map, manual and box design were all over the internet and lots of the repro makers out there merely adopted it for their own releases. All of Timewalk's boxes will say so right on them, btw.

As for switchless... no idea whether Timewalk's version will be that way or not...

I like Time Walk games, they made me a nice Zelda Outlands game a few months ago, but they are quite pricey. In the end, you get what you pay for, because they created a nice box, manual, and even a map, which was cool. If they make a manual for the Zelda AST game, I'd definitely buy it

I'd actually agree that Timewalk is a bit pricey at 100$ a piece. Realistically it doesn't cost 50$ per SNES repro, (more akin to 20$-25$ if they've got a donor around). Factor in print costs for all the paperwork/boxes though, and that price a piece shoots up to probably 40-50$ a piece when averaged out...

Ultimately when you pay the 100$ you're paying for the time it takes them to go through and assemble the boxes, de-label and de-solder + re-solder their donors. I also don't know if they do profit sharing with their designers or not, so some of the $ might go to the guys who designed boxes/manuals, (or TW may just pay them flat amounts up front, I dunno).

Anyways... they could probably get away with charging 75$ a piece and still make some profit, but 100$ is a nice round $ number for them SNES wise and it seems to work out ok for them as they're usually swamped with orders. If it was too pricey they wouldn't always be swamped, right?
