Back with a few more finds from the past week. Did a little bit of everything: Facebook, Craigslist, yard sales and a flea market (sort of). Kinda disappointed in one find, but they can't all be winners I guess. Anyway, let's get going:

Facebook - 6/24

A lady had posted it up and was asking $50 for all. Someone was already in talks with her and offered $30, but the woman said lowest she'd do was $40. I saw a few decent games mixed in, so I just replied back and said if they don't want it, I'll take it. They passed, I paid the $40. There's 32 games in total, the nyko 40-game case (which I think is a pretty cool little storage case) and a 3rd party memory card. She even met me at my work to drop the games off, so that was pretty cool.

Games are: Luigi's Mansion, Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Heroes, Harry Potter: Azkaban, Scooby Doo 100 Frights, Ty Tasmanian Tiger 1 & 2, Pikmin, Naruto Clash of Ninja 1 & 2, Pac-Man World 2, Pac-Man Vs., Tak 2, Kirby Air Ride, I-Ninja, Legends of Wrestling II, Splinter Cell, Medal of Honor: Frontline, WWE Day of Reckoning, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Fantastic 4, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Tony Hawk Underground, NFL Street, Monster 4X4, Hulk, Shadow the Hedgehog, MLB Slugfest 2003, Madden 2003, Backyard Football and Madden 07

Craigslist - 6/26

CB Games - Top Gear 2, Buster Busts Loose, Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse, WWF Raw, Super Punch-Out, Uniracers, WWF Royal Rumble, Lion King and Robocop vs. Terminator

CIB Games - Top Gear and Super Caesar's Palace

Cart Only - Wheel of Fortune, Lethal Enforcers, Aladdin, Tetris & Dr. Mario, Cold Shadow Maui Mallard, Super Bowling, NCAA Football, Mario Paint, Power Rangers Racers and Clue

This is the somewhat disappointing one. Saw this listed at like 1:30 in the morning on Thursday. And I couldn't believe he was only like 10 minutes away, normally all the towns on Craigslist are at least an hour away. So I was thinking $100, he was at $140 and we decided to split it at $120. Met up at 8 am that morning right here in town and was all good. Then I got home and went through them, and almost all games didn't have manuals! They were advertised as with box and instructions. I don't think the guy genuinely knew, but rather just assumed they had the manuals. I didn't try to get back to him about it or anything, I was still kinda happy with the deal, but it did bum me out a little. Also, they're all former rentals so they have those silver, shiny stickers on both sides of the cart. Boxes for the most part are in good condition though, so that's a plus too.

Yard Sale & Flea Market - 6/27

- Crash Bandicoot 2, Wu-Tang Shaolin Style, PaRappa the Rapper (disc & manual) and South Park Rally & Frequency PS2 (not pictured) - $10
- Super Street Fighter & Zool - $3 each

A lady on one of the Facebook groups was advertising her yard sale, and mentioned having games. She said Nintendo, Sega and a box of Playstation stuff. So I pm'd her Thursday night to see if I could get a list of stuff. She sent me the Nintendo and Sega list, not bad, nothing too great either, but I asked how much for each. She said $50 a piece. Didn't know if it was worth it or not, since it was a little bit away. So I asked about the Playstation stuff, and she said the box was too big, too many to list. That got me a little excited, so I figured what the hell, I'll make the trip to check it out. So I go out Friday morning, get there, and I'm the first one there. I see the NES/Sega stuff and go through it a little. Genesis/Sega CD combo, some smushed boxed games (Mega Bomberman), hard case games, loose carts, a few Sega CD games. Not bad. The NES had the console stuff, about 15 games (best ones were LOZ Gold Cart, Mario 3, Double Dragon II), and a few bonuses: looked like all the manuals were there and some random inserts, and also the games were in a really cool GPX1500 storage shelf with the lid!

I decide to think it over a minute and dig through the PS stuff. Meanwhile, a younger guy and his girlfriend get there, and almost right away I hear him say something like, "Oooh Sega." So I get a little nervous, but don't think much of it. Continue digging and after a few minutes I hear him ask the lady how much for the Sega and Nintendo. I'm pretty sure I heard her say $30 each! What the heck, she told me $50 yesterday! I go and take one last look at the stuff before he takes them away. I go up to pay for my measly PS games, and I see $40 in her hand (I gave her $20 and she didn't have change on her). Damn, for $40 for both I definitely would've scooped it all up! Rookie mistake, you live and learn. Now I know and won't let it happen again. So sort of a losers weepers mixed in with my finds this week haha.

The 2 SNES games I picked up at some sort of indoor flea market on the way home. It's a few older ladies that run it, but there's a bunch of people that bring stuff in. Kinda sucks cause that doesn't allow you to haggle, but I've found some decent stuff there before. Not much there this time, she pulled out a small basket of SNES and a N64 game from behind the counter and said, "I have these. Don't know if there's anything good, the other guy already went through them." I guess I just felt like I had to buy something, so scooped them 2 up. Kept missing out that day I guess!

Yard Sales - 6/28

- (SNES) Super Off-Road & Zombies Ate My Neighbors and (NES) Rally Bike, Turtles 3: Manhattan Project, Gradius and Bart vs. the World - $10
- PS2 Slim Black w/ controller, memory card, hookups - $5
- (PC) 11th Hour, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and (CD) Cripple Bastards Split EP - $1 for all

There wasn't any good community sales going on for this past weekend, so I went old school: went through the Classifieds in the local paper and wrote down all the houses having sales in my town and went to those. I live in a pretty small town, mind you, so it was only 6 sales I hit up. I was pretty happy with what I got, considering that. First sale had the SNES/NES games. He was asking $2 a piece, but offered him $10 for the 6 of them. The PC/CD I got at the last sale. She was selling crap PC games and music CD's 3 for $1. I grabbed what I thought were the most interesting and got em. 11th Hour is kinda worthless lol, and the Star Wars game isn't that valuable either (had previous luck with other SW PC games). The Cripple Bastards Split is pretty rare from what I can tell, but not sure if's it's in that high of demand.

Facebook - 6/29

- Sega CDX w/ 4 controllers, mouse and hookups
- CIB Games: Flink, AD&D: Eye of the Beholder, Dracula Unleashed, Mortal Kombat, Dune, Ecco The Tides of Time, Bram Stoker Dracula, Jeopardy!, Eternal Champions, Star Wars: Rebel Assault, Double Switch, Mansion of Hidden Souls, Sonic CD (NFR) and Ecco the Dolphin (NFR)
- Disc Only Games: Willy Beamish, Night Trap (both discs), Sewer Shark, Time Gal, Revengers of Vengeance and Prince of Persia

This one was advertised on a local games only group. I normally don't check it that often since it's usually guys asking HUGE amounts for their stuff, so there's hardly ever any decent deals. This was up for a day or 2 before I saw it, and I couldn't believe no one jumped on it yet. She was asking $150 for all, firm. When I contacted her about it, I asked if she could do any better than $150. She told me to make an offer. I tried $100, she countered with $120 and I was perfectly fine with that. We negotiated on Wednesday, I believe, but we couldn't meet until Sunday. Discs are in very good condition, cases have some cracks/scuffs but overall very happy with the purchase!

So that's all for this week guys. Thanks for reading my mountains of text lol. Haven't found anything this week yet, and come Monday I'll be on the road, going on vacation to Tennessee for a week. Maybe I'll do a little hunting down there too, see what I can come up with. Stay tuned.

Back after a short hiatus with some more finds! Didn't come across anything during the Tennessee trip, but did set up a deal back home for the day after we got back. Was browsing my local PA craigslist pages and saw a decent little Gamecube lot. He was asking $60, but I got it for $50. Nothing huge, but ok I guess. Here's what I got:

Craigslist - 7/12

- Platinum Gamecube w/ 2 Controllers, 2 Memory Cards & Hookups
- GB Player & Start-Up Disc
- 8 CIB Games: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Spiderman 2, Cabelas Outdoor Adventure, Madden 2005, Madden 06, MVP Baseball 2004, Star Wars Rogue Leader and Star Fox Assault
- A few random manuals

Like I said, not the best selection of games, but liked the SSB and Star Fox and the GB Player, so jumped on it. And everything is in excellent condition too.

Facebook - 7/16

- Xbox Console w/ Controller & Hookups
- Elder Scrolls: Morrowind GOTY Edition Guide
- 15 Games: MK Deception, The Thing, Namco Museum, Men of Valor, Mech Assault Limited Edition, Mace Griffin, Exhibition Vol. 5, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, Doom 3 Limited Edition, Star Wars Jedi Knight Academy, Star Wars Battlefront, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, Star Wars Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Knights of Old Republic and Elder Scrolls: Morrowind GOTY
- CIB Game Shark and Action Replay Max

Found this lot on a local Facebook group and was scrolling though and saw the Star Wars games and Morrowind and thought, hmm pretty nice lot. Kept scrolling and couldn't believe it when I saw JP listed! So I messaged them, they were asking $80, but got it all for $60. Luckily, no one else was interested in the lot so no competition on this one. That's what's good about these rare Xbox games, not many people know about them. But if it's SNES or 64, you have to jump on it almost immediately to even have a chance!

And finally, went out for some yardsaling today. There was another one of those community sales going on about 30 minutes away, and I heard it was usually a good one. Turned out to be ok, not the best by any means but a good amount set up at least. Community sale season is starting to wind down around here though, which kinda sucks. Anyway, here's what I found:

- Aqua Blue 3DS w/ accessories, Flame Red 3DS w/ accessories and Pokémon HeartGold w/ Pokewalker - $80
- Sega Genesis Model 2 (no A/V) - $2
- CIB Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (XBOX) - $1

One of the first sales I saw games at had the 2 3DS systems and a bunch of DS games (though none very good). They were asking $50 a piece on them and $5 for the Pokémon game, but as I was looking and debating on the systems, the guy said he'd do both for $80. So debated a bit more and decided to jump on it, and asked for Pokémon to be included, which they agreed to. Happy I did get them in the end. Only reason I was really iffy about it was because I only brought $80 out with me lol. But my brother was with me, so just used some of his funds for the rest. Not too much gaming or other cool stuff out, but I was done by about 10:30 which was kinda nice haha.

Anyway, that's all I've got for this time. Thanks again to all for looking.

Been hitting a hot streak with the NES and 64 stuff lately. 3 separate finds in the past 3 days. I'll start with the earliest one.

Facebook - 7/22

- Nes Console Only
- 34 Games: Tecmo World Wrestling, Captain Skyhawk, Friday the 13th, Top Gun Second Mission, Battle Chess, Jeopardy!, Remote Control, Superspike V'Ball/World Cup (X2), Deadly Towers, Anticipation, Time Lord, Street Fighter 2010, Batman, Target Renegade, WWF Steel Cage Challenge, Star Trek, Hogan's Alley, Immortal, Pinball, Code Name Viper, Monster Truck Rally, Final Fantasy, Gold Medal Challenge, Trog!, Vice: Project Doom, Double Dragon II, WCW Wrestling, Double Dragon III, Eliminator Boat Duel, Kid Icarus, Dragon Warrior II, Empire Strikes Back and Blackjack

Saw someone post that they were looking for an NES on a Facebook group, this person said they have a system only with about 30 games, so I just said that if they passed, I may be interested. Got a PM and they sent me a list of games and let me know again that it was console only, which was ok since I have an extra set of controllers and hookups. Got it all for only $30!

Craigslist / Yard Sale - 7/24

- Nintendo 64 w/ 2 Controllers, Memory Card & Hookups
- 4 Games - Paper Mario, Zelda Ocarina, Excitebike 64 and Donkey Kong 64

Saw a post on a Craigslist electronics page advertising a yard sale with "Complete PS4 and games and complete N64 and games". So I got excited, thought maybe I'd get some good, cheap boxed 64 games! Get there, and see a stack of PS1 games, 2 PSOne consoles with hookups and all, and this dirty 64 and games. Her prices were pretty crazy, $10 for each PS1 game (some ok one's like Spyro's, but only about 3 of them were worth it) or $75 for the PS1 lot, and $45 for the 64 lot. Not a bad price, but kind of a bad yard sale price I guess. Asked how much for all and she said, I don't know, $150? I laughed inside, thinking what the heck, the combined price of the bundles don't even equal that! Anyway, just went with the 64 stuff and talked her down to $35 which isn't too bad, some decent games at least. Plus, I wasn't driving out there and leaving empty handed lol. As I was leaving, I said hey, so where is the PS4? She pointed at the PSOnes and said isn't that it? She looked closer and goes, oh, those are PSOne. Whoops.

Craigslist - 7/23

- Jungle Green N64 w/ Controllers, Rumble Pack, Memory Card & Hookups
- 17 Games: Blast Corps, Star Fox 64, Pokémon Stadium, Scooby Doo, Gex 3, Perfect Dark, MRC, Nascar 99, Toy Story 2, Tetrisphere, Bust-A-Move 2, Rampage 2, Beetle Adventure Racing, Super Mario 64, Dual Heroes, Zelda Majora's Mask and Kirby 64

- NES Console in box (all parts included, only manual is Zapper)
- NES Console w/ 2 Controllers (no hookups)
- FC Twin w/ Controllers & Hookups
- 37 Games: T&C Surf, Black Bass, Remote Control, Mario Bros., Simpsons Space Mutants, Bionic Commando, Commando, TMNT, Tecmo Bowl, Tetris, Super Off Road, Rambo, Operation Wolf, Dragon Warrior, Lunar Pool, Mario / Duck Hunt, WWF WrestleMania Challenge, Double Dribble, Destination Earthstar, Skate or Die 2, Track & Field II, Blades of Steel, RBI Baseball, Pro Wrestling, Mario 3 (X2), Mario 2 (X2), Mega Man 3, Metal Gear, Metroid, River City Ransom, Double Dragon, Castlevania II, Zelda, Mike Tyson Punch Out and Duck Tales 2!

Got out of work early at 6:30 PM, usually work until 10:30 or later. So went out to the mall with the wife and had decided afterwards to go to Red Robin to eat. Was at the mall and checking out Craigslist and saw Nintendo lot - N64 and 17 games and NES and 37 games. No pics or anything, but had a number. So I called, he read off everything included and I was kinda iffy cause he named all the crap NES games at first, then when he got to Duck Tales 2, I thought hell yeah I gotta get it now. The guy told me he had about 5 people interested already, but I was only about 45 minutes away. So dinner plans were cancelled (sorry honey) and off we went to meet him halfway. He was asking $225, and that's what I paid.

Duck Tales label is peeling a little on the top, but it doesn't really bother me. Was a pleasant surprise to see the green 64, he didn't mention that during the call. N64 controllers joysticks are about shot lol, and some stuff needs a little cleaning up. Overall though, was really happy with the lot.

Thanks all for reading my lengthy posts! That's all for now.

Thanks guys. I will probably eventually resell it, but for now I'm gonna play the heck out of it and hopefully beat it. I loved the first one and never played 2 before. It's fairly competitive around here too, although maybe there's enough to go around haha. But all of my nearest Craigslist pages, you have to find the stuff really fast or it'll usually be gone in under an hour. And for local Facebook groups, it's almost the same way, sometimes even worse, with just about anything Nintendo mainly. I suppose I just have good luck/timing or something.

I've been getting lazy and didn't feel like updating, but I have a decent amount of finds to post before they start piling up even more! This is all from the past few weeks or so, I'll try to be accurate with the dates. Let's get to it.

Yard Sale - 7/26

- NES Action Set (CIB) w/ Black Bass & Hoops - $20
- N64 Mad Catz Controller, Mario Party 2 and Turok: Rage Wars - $1

Very small community sale, didn't find much as you can see but solid deals nonetheless. I actually went to the wrong town at first as I had it mistaken for the correct one and saw an indoor house sale and decided to stop in. That's where I got the NES lol. They were asking $30, I offered $20, he said $25, I debated for a sec and began walking away and he said alright, $20. Good deal.

Facebook - 7/27

- N64 Console w/ Expansion & 2 Controllers
- 7 Games - Tony Hawk 2, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Space Invaders, Castlevania, Resident Evil 2, Duke Nukem and Conker's Bad Fur Day

Was out at the casino until around 11 and actually came back with some money for once! Only up $50, but better than down $200 lol. Anyway, was getting ready for bed around midnight and decided to search the locals quick and came across a post for "N64 and games, make offer". PM'd, she listed the games, we settled on $40 and I picked them up that night. This is my 3rd copy of Conkers within about a month!

Yard Sales - 8/1 & 8/2

- N64 w/ 4 Controllers, Hookups & Mario Party 3 - $40
- Mario 2, Mario 3 & TMNT (All NES) - $1/each
- Purple GBA Original - $.50

Sorry, didn't take pics of these and I have them put away already so didn't wanna drag them out, nothing huge anyway. Got the 64 lot on Friday. Some lady on Facebook advertised her sale that she had Wii and another system. Said screw it, only 15 minutes away I'll check it out. There was no Wii, only the 64 and a SNES w/ Mario 2 NES lol. It was a lot more than I'm used to paying at a YS, but didn't wanna leave empty handed and figured MP3 is worth at least $40 on it's own, so not bad. She wouldn't haggle though cause they were her kids' stuff and they weren't there. Wanted $30 for the SNES, passed on that. There was also an Expansion Pack in the little baggie with it, but dumb me accidentally left it on the table when she came over with a bag. Bummer.

The other stuff was another local small community sale. Lot's of really bad sales that day, and not many games to be seen even.

Facebook - 8/7

- PS1 Dual Shock CIB, 2 Memory cards, Extra controller, New Nuby Remote Wizard CIB
- 22 Games - Speedball, Syphon Filter 2, NBA Showtime, Planet of the Apes, Kiss Pinball, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Soul Reaver, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil DC, Gran Turismo, Evil Dead, Jimmy White 2, WrestleMania Arcade Game, Metal Gear Solid, Gex 3, Tomb Raider, Motocross 2000, Fighting Force, Starwinder, WWF War Zone and Syphon Filter

- N64 CIB, Nuby Rock Rocker, Memory Card
- 6 Games CIB - Mischief Makers, Star Wars: Shadows, Dark Rift, Mario 64, Rampage World Tour, Banjo-Kazooie
- Guides - Banjo-Kazooie, Star Wars: Shadows and Mario 64

Paid $90 for all. Had no clue ANYTHING was CIB, so was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up. It's all in really good shape too, most games have baggies and all, and so do the consoles. Lots of extras I didn't know about either, like the guides, extra controllers, memory cards. Very happy with this pickup.

Facebook - 8/8

- 9 CIB SNES Games - Spider-Man/X-Men Arcade's Revenge, Dr. Franken, Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Jurassic Park 2, Mario's Time Machine, Zelda: LTTP, Illusion of Gaia, Jurassic Park and Super Widget
- 1 CB Game - Justice League: Task Force

Almost right after I picked up the previous lot, I got a PM from the same girl that sold me the Nintendo Power's from a few posts back. She generally has an idea of what she has and roughly knows values, but said she needed some quick cash. Asked me to make an offer, so I threw out $120, she asked if I could do $125 and I accepted. Thought it was a pretty good deal, everything in overall pretty good shape. Some writing, some wear to manuals, boxes etc. But a good bit of solid titles, plus I'm a sucker for CIB SNES!

So that's all of them for now. No yard sales or deals lined up yet for this weekend, but you never know. Keep in touch.
