I hate the people in Philly who run the parking lots.  I just got back from trying to go to that big expo at the convention center.  I drove around for an hour and couldn't find a parking lot for less than $19.00, the average was $27.00.  For 2 hours!

I ended up turning around and going  home.  What a bunch of rip-off artists.  Way to attract business to the city Philly.  You suck!!

Oh that's this weekend, eh. That expo is just too big for this little gamer.

I'm there right now. Dont go. The main expo floor is all pc gaming. The vendor room has about 5 vendor. All good vendors. But of you went to too many games you already saw what they have.

I was at the VGXPO last year and 2 years ago. It's a shitty expo. It sucked last year, but at least last year Lorne Lanning and Jack Thompson were there, which was neat. This year they really don't have anything to offer. I happily stayed home.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia!

That show always sucks, I don't know why anyone still goes. It's not even really a collector so really, move of an Industry/advertising event.

^ right that's the impression I got. A big circle jerk for playtesters to wear plastic namebadges and kiss.

Well, that's what I heard

Thanks man.  That makes me feel a lot better about not going.  I woulda been even more pissed of if I paid $4.00 for the bridge, $27.00 to park, $15.00 to get in, then it sucked.

Damn, that does sound like a total ripoff.

On a related note Limbo, If you are looking for someone to travel to one of these expos sometime. I would be down to tag along since we're in the same hood.

I'm sorry, but I have to retract my previous statement if it's gonna be like that. I can't sing nearly that well.

The show sucked. You guys didnt miss anything. There was a shit ton of people there. But like i said. The main floor was all PC gaming. The only good part about the main floor was the Suicide Girls. HOT!!! but yeah there were only like 5 vendors there. Nothing eye catching. All i bought was a loose sqoon for $3 and a CIB Mint Bomberman 64 Second Attack for $35.

Hey Chris, what's with the swap meet next May at the leesport flea market? Is it an official TMG event? I'm very leery of going to a flea market for a games convention.

It is an official TMG even but its just a mini show, we need to raise some extra money for our big shower towards the end of next year.
Leasport flea market was really cheap to book, and its going on during the flea market. It will attract a lot of new attendees that way. Honestly im not particularly happy about it being there but then again it is just a mini show.

I went last year, mostly because it was kind of close and they said there was going to be a video game job fair. I was severely disappointed in that aspect. There was like two companies to talk to.

Otherwise, I had a good enough time, but it was nothing special.
