Found out a few hours ago that my local Best Buy was doing a midnight release for Skyward Sword. So I went over to pick it up. It was me and 2 other dudes. BB was doing a "raffle" for the standee you see above for those that pre-ordered SS. I was the last person there tonight and I simply asked when they were raffling it off. He said "you just won. You were the only one to ask about it." SWEET. I'll take it. This makes up for the one I missed out on from Gamestop (they said I could have it. I moved to a different town and never got to pick it up).
SOOOO excited to go pick this up tomorrow (technically it'll be later today!)

Sweet display! I got the same one from Gamestop a few months ago. It's freaking sweet! If you like standees, you should see if you can get the Skyward Sword one. It's similar to the 3DS OOT standee, but bigger and even cooler!

Vern, Yeah at some point. My collection is a giant mess in multiple rooms and with a lot of stuff in boxes. Obviously I've met you and I ran into UIEngineer Selling stuff at the Video Game Summit in July. I suspect there's others of us floating around.
I've been pestering the GS down here for the skyward sword one. When I first asked about it they said I could probably have it, then when I went in to pick up the game today they said they had to leave it on display for another week or so... so I actually put my name and number on it, in hopes that I will get it for sure.
That's awesome! "You just won it for asking about it" That's nice of them to give it to the person who actually cared about it enough to ask instead of just raffling it and giving it to some kid who wouldn't care longer than a week.
Bought mine early this morning. Bought the regular edition at Best Buy and was looking to buy the Limited Edition but Best Buy only had them for people who pre-ordered. Bummer. I wanted to buy both and charge it to my Best Buy credit card but I only managed to buy the regular edition. Luckily I pre-ordered my Limited Edition at GameStop.

Good job. I really wish I would have done some research prior to buying from gamestop. Not only did you not get anything extra from them (i.e. getting gift cards and extra things from other stores), but when I picked up my collectors bundle, every box they had there was so banged up and destroyed from shipping and storing that they aren't even really collectible anymore. I didn't realize the box on mine was all scrunched up until I got home too. I am pretty pissed about it.
