We are starting the very last stried of our beloved weekly contest.
Just a few more weeks till new genre champions are crowed. A few more weeks till the exciting tournament starts! CAN YOU FEEL THE HYPE?

And to start this round in a very fast paced way, our competitors will tackle... SUPER OFF ROAD!
They will abide to the following rules:

• Pick 1 player mode
• Play the first two races of the game and take your picture at the podium screen, with your best time for each race visible
• For each race that you fail to complete, add 300 seconds to your time
• Sum of best time for the two races gets the top of the podium, the Laurel wreath and the champagne
• Genre: Sports

The contest ends Sunday, 9/15/19 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.

Hopefully the rules I picked for it are fast paced enough.
This game can be a lot of fun if played fast and quick.

Should it be the lowest average time? Podium only shows average and best times.

Yes, lowest sum of the average time for the 3 races will do the trick.

Not sure if that is a decent score or not. I did win the three races.

I wanted the sum of the average, but I will have to check if that average is for all the races you ran so far.
If it is, then the lowest average at the end of the third race will win.

I loved the 4 player arcade version and played this one a ton as a kid. As a past Bad Dudes champion, I might have been tempted to join in the next two weeks.  

Oh man! Better start practicing up if you’re gonna play.
 

If I wasn't in the middle of moving mixed in with a weeks worth of appointments I probably would have tried to join in. I played the arcade game a ton as a kid and loved the SNES version too.

Is that a good score ?

I'm basically in the Stone Cold Steve Austin spot where I just drop in once in a while and hang out, but I do miss playing every week, so if I'm in a place where that is a possibility when next season starts, who knows?  

I honestly have no idea.  That was my first attempt.  I never went for score, or time before.  I've always just gone for first place.
