Dude, check with the mods. I didn't request that your thread get closed, MrWunderful reached out to me and asked if the authors objected to the patch's use. I said yes and gave a quote from the patch topic.

I missed something here. Your auction broke the rules of the site and was removed according to the rules. There must be more that I'm missing because I don't understand what your complaint is.
Your website was (I'm guessing because I haven't looked) selling software made by someone else at a profit to you. I still don't get it.

Yeah, after the fact you were vocal about it, and pretty much seems to have you make an account to do so. A mod doesn't just reach out to every rom hacker during the time of the auction. You could have made the account, contacted Retrostage with a C&D, then follow through the next route to do what needs to be done to protect YOUR work. 

Also, even though it explains here, what explains the other 2/3rds of the equation, like the Ebay and his website? NA mods have no jurisdiction there, and like I said earlier a power of one person cannot shut down his whole livlihood, unless it'd be the person who's IP was infringed. It's just way too coincidental.

Again, not saying what Retrostage did was right, and is clearly agaisnt the rules, but things could have been delt with a lot smoother.

Yes. If by meaning "making people aware" is another way of saying it, it's then more indirect than direct. Fires don't get started until you light a match.

The people don't have to be made aware, it's the person who's using your work for profit that needs to be, and it's your responsibility to tell that person what he's doing is not okay. If he doesn't comply, THEN you follow through with the proper steps taken to protect your work. That means contacting mods, making people aware, that sort of thing.
