Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge - Everyone knows about River City Ransom and Super Dodge Ball, but no one really talks about this one. I played this game to death as a teenager, and it's still one of my all-time faves.

Shadow of the ninja. Seriously, I never hear about this game and it's one of the better nes action games out there.

I agree with crash and the boys it is great.

My personal favorites that seem underappreciated are
Solomons Key,
Crystalis and

Crystal Mines ( one of my favorite games on the nes)

T & C Surf Designs was the first game I ever bought as a kid and one of the only ones I never got rid of.

Thrillas Surfari is a great sequel.

Eliminator Boat Duel is my favorite racer.

Super Spy Hunter is a great sequel and is much better than the first game.

Tagin Dragon is a game that for some reason I really enjoy.

That made me lol

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Someone said in an earlier post.... I think it was wizard, that every nes game is good to someone out there..... Well i counter that statement with action 52.

Actually, some of the games on Action 52 are quite fun.

I played through the entire thing to identify all the tracks for the NSFE.
I would like to offer that there are zero remotely fun games on there, especially if you're playing alone and don't have someone to mock it with.

I find a few of them fun when playing alone.  Just because YOU don't think they are doesn't mean NOBODY thinks they are

Dunno if these have been mentioned before but I found really fun and addicting games:

Circus ( I think it was on the 31in1 cart I had as a kid, played it all the time.)
Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat (Freakin addictive and fun game!)
Cobra Triangle (A friend had this game when I was young, really fun with 2 players.)

That Circus game you're referring to on the pirate carts is a Famicom game called Circus Charlie.  That game is fun as hell man, I'm still wanting to find the Famicom version.  Hell, it's the only reason I don't sell my pirate carts!   Anyway, I figured I'd mention it in case you wanted to track it down.

Heavy Barrel, it's like a top down Contra.I think Nightmare on Elm Street is really good considering all the hatred for it. The game is a fun platformer and the music is really good. Die Hard is another one, it follows the movie well and has a good strategy element to it and it's one hell of a lot better than Lethal Weapon.

I know most people seem to hate these games (especially the difficulty) but I personally love the first two NES Simpsons games.

Also, I think Zelda 2's graphics are quite underrated.

Am I the only one here who prefers Zelda 2 over the first? Oh, and,

Yes!

Skimmed through most of it, so I already saw some of mine mentioned... but I'll say them again.

Rygar

Solar Jetman

Kid Nikki
(even though is a LOT easier than the arcade version)

Kid Icarus (is this actually under-rated, or do I just have weird friends here that either don't like, or haven't played, this game?)

Guardian Legend (Shooter? RPG? Hells yeah!)

Little Nemo

Adventure Island

Star Tropics (/thread)
