Currently I am stuck trying to beat Dr. Mario on Gameboy... Level 20 / Speed Hi

Closest I got to beating this was it came down to 1 virus and I still lost... back to the drawing board. This got me thinking what game has plagued you for life and you've never been able to achieve the goal?

Another for me has been Goldeneye 007. Still can't beat it. I can unlock both secret levels, but can't beat either of them on Secret Agent. Not sure if I'll ever be able to get that one.

I want to stream more, and I want to get good at the games I play regularly.

1.) I want to beat Bump n Jump soon. I want this game to be over with.

2.) 180k in Marble Madness.

3.) Over 500k in Nintendo Tetris.
 

Was never good at that one either man, haven't put a whole lotta time into er but I just can't.

 

Ugh..... I’ve put a ton of time and just can’t get the fucking timing down on getting on and off the ladders.
 

My gaming goal of 2019 is to play through all the console Resident Evils (any version). Obviously I selected this one because the badass remake of RE2 is coming out tomorrow, but I've always wanted to play through the series as I grew up obsessed with RE3: Nemesis. I beat 2 and 3 back in the day on PS1, and vaguely remember getting to Tyrant in RE1 but not being able to beat him. Never played 4, 5, 6, and booted up 7 one night holy smokes has the game evolved.

So am currently playing RE1 HD Remaster on PS4. The PS2 Remake should be in tomorrow. Want to complete through 0-7 (any versions), plus Survivor, Code Veronica, Raccoon City, Wii spinoffs and whatever other console ones there are I'm not thinking of. I don't think I'm hardcore enough to do the handhelds though! Based on my free time this is probably already a stretch for the year  .

I have been trying to 1 credit clear every PC Engine shoot em up. I have managed to 1CC and even 1LC some of the toughest of the library including R Type, Super Raiden, Super Star Soldier, Tatsujin and Violent Soldier. 28/101...long way to go!

I cannot dissapoint then.  Now the pressure is on.

I'm pretty sure Code Veronica was meant to be the third main game but Sony had some clause where the numbered games were on the PS1 so it got changed to C:V (Dreamcast game). Just in case you want to play them in order.

I'm not sure if I have any lifetime gaming goals.   

Lately, I have been playing through Super Mario Odyssey coinless.  I can definitely see myself going back and trying to beat many of the older Mario games coinless as well.

Did our resident experts ever figure out the exact mechanics of the wand?
 

Very neat to know - thanks!  I should look up the chronological order of the games since some of the characters span across several titles.

 

Get to top 8 at an SFV tournament this year.

Right now the goal is to progress with Tetris, hopefully max out at some point.

It would be pretty cool just to qualify for the CTWC and appear on their stream and Youtube videos.

Yeah, hyper tappers have the advantage over DAS players. They can stack higher at level 19 speed and recover from mistakes that would kill a DAS player. The future is hyper tapping or a hybrid of DAS and tapping.


 

Continue wading through my INTV/Atari collections. I've been finding some hidden gems (to me) and I'm insanely curious what I've been sitting on and missing out on.

I don't think so. It looked like Bea was making some progress with analyzing the code, but it's still a mystery.

I just want to figure out how to not choke at the ultimate race when I have the opportunity for 180k.

Fair enough, but even not choking doesn't guarantee the 180k+ possibility, does it?  I thought to break into that level required at least SOME help from the wands, as well.
