Here's the real question: Does your GC have the original special component-out port, or is it one of the later models where they dropped it to save money?

Getting a cable for component can be expensive though.

Yep, I've got one and paid something like $70 for it if I recall, which was more than I paid for the GC itself.

however there are quite a few digi-out gamecubes at the VVGShoppe and yes, that cable is so expensive.

and actually, is there a GC that is more desirable than another? like, has more features, easier to xeno mod (just bought that chip), will fit into the aftermarket box better, etc?
