Lingering memories and concerns from episode 1 I think.

A number of reasons, but I'm glad that you didn't think it was that bad!

Quickly becoming my favorite podcast, very entertaining and educational. I listened to all the episodes so far. I didn't hear any production issue with the Rob interview.

I listen to a bunch of podcasts, and this one is my favorite. This podcast really speaks to me (like literally, sometimes).

Thanks for playing my song on there, that was cool. Closest I'll ever get to having my music on "the radio", haha. Little correction though, my music is too lousy to ever have won any competitions. The one I did win was a coding competition (Y2Kode back in 2000), the music probably helped so I guess it's arguable. And that song played on the podcast BTW was from that demo! And my win was 2nd place (out of 6 entries I think), but that was good because the 2nd place prize was actually way better than the first place prize (super cool and rare SNES Gamestation VS DVD player with a crummy Sega Genesis emulator built-in).

I guess I might as well chime in. The only thing I don't like about the podcast, is that I can't listen to a new episode every day. I guess Rob spoiled me with the DogsCast. That being said, I love every second of it.

Looks like Episode V is up! We took a look at the HBWC, talked with Paul about its creation, discussed collecting AND got a scoop on Full Quiet through an interview with Greg. Full Quiet deets I said! A full episode description is in the OP. Well, enjoy...

Love the show, was able to catch up on all the episodes the last few days while cleaning up from Irma, fantastic topics, the hosts are great and it's really gotten me back to my NA focus a lot better.

In Episode 6 we take a look at Shiru's excellent port/adaptation of Alter Ego. First, however, we begin with a discussion of creative versus technical emphases when developing a project, a conversation that we are going to try and expand to the community (http://vintage.nintendoage.com/fo...). We also interview Kulor who did the music for Alter Ego, and feature some of his tracks throughout the episode. Kevin and I discuss some of the things that we have been working on before getting to a write in question about homebrewer IPs. Brad Bateman was also nice enough to come on and discuss the nature and importance of the NESdev competition. Thanks to everyone who has written in to the cast, or been willing to be interviewed!

You guys finally hit on the key thing I was asking about in the last episode -- the trade off where if you make your game rom free, you get to have thousands of people play your game, but less monetary compensation in terms of buyers. :-)

Also, relating to the questions about IP.  You mentioned some issues in the Atari homebrew scene -- the sad thing is that there's a particular seller who regularly rips off homebrewer's work and re-packages and re-sells their games, but people (usually people less in-the-know) keep supporting him, so he hasn't gone away yet.

Love this podcast! I found out about it last week and listened to all 6 episodes over the weekend. It seems to have just the right amount of technical content as well as some great interviews with the guys making these amazing games. Thanks again for putting this together!

Thank you. The past couple months have been busy so we haven't had a good chance to record episode 7, but we will be getting to it very soon.

Just wishful thinking. I listen to a lot of podcasts when I'm working night shifts and I'm spoiled by daily/weekly pocasts.
