Hey everyone!  This week's game, and our second challenge by Tom Votava, is going to be The Adventures of Bayou Billy.  Here are the rules:

  • Play on Mode B (no zapper)
  • Point racking is not allowed
  • Play until Game Over
  • Highest score wins
  • GENRE: Beat 'Em Up


The contest ends Sunday, 9/30/12 at 10 PM NA time.  Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  Good luck everyone and have fun.

Well, this game is horrible. I gave it a few runs though and found some redeeming qualities. Fighting the gators is very difficult if you can't find a safe spot.

Now this one, I've actually beaten on 2 lives. It's horrible, but fun if you know how to play. If I can get the photobucket thing to work from my computer, I'll post a score tonight!

This game definitely has its flaws, but it's still one of my favorites. I used to play this one all the time, despite the frustration involved.

Biggest hint I can give you on this game is to almost always use jump kicks during the beat em up sections. For best results, sneak up behind everyone and jump kick. This will make them turn around, facing the wrong way from you. If done right, you can get past each battle without taking damage!

The only time I avoid jump kicks is when I have a weapon, especially the whip.

Gave it one shot so far. Got to the 2nd driving segment, lost all of my lives between both driving stages, I hate these levels, hate 'em in Vice Project Doom, Ultimate Stuntman, G13 Mafat Conspiracy and any others that I may not be remembering at the moment. Also don't like the shooting stages either, crosshairs move too fast, Zapper is better. If this were a straight up beat 'em up it'd be so much easier. Its because of the driving and shooting stages that I rarely play this game because I have never enjoyed those type of gameplay elements in what is for the most a certain genre be it platformer, beat 'em up or other, sure its nice for the variety but it don't do it for me.
