Hey guys!
This weeks game is skate or die!
You have to use the freestyle ramp to get the high score and it appears in the skate shop as stated below
ends next sunday at 9 pm central time!
no name in picture=score doesnt count!

update: i hope none of you can best this because i'm tired of aiming for that one frame where i can start my trick right. i managed to land a trick for 3200 a few times while working on this but can't do it with any consistency, if i even understand how i pulled it off.


edit: yay, had a breakthrough!

awesome, i've had this forever but my cart is packed away at my parents' house. i guess i'll go first.

Here's my score and this might be the only time I play this game this week.  I hate this game with a passion and I suck at it.  Took me forever to get this score.  I just can't grasp the controls and it's frustrating.  No matter what I do, the skater seems to fall down on the ramp half the time.

Rotation over the channel with 2 (maybe 3?) grabs. It's risky though because there's barely enough time for one grab, unless you get lucky. And some grabs are worth more than others.

In any case, I didn't use any grabs in my run, just played it safe. I don't think I'll have time to challenge your score but there's still at least 6000 points room for improvement if you're interested in going for 'er.

Maybe I should wait to say all of this so nobody else beats my score. Oh well!

I think it's only possible to do 2 grabs, I'm pretty sure three is impossible. And if it is, that would require slowing time down on an emulator or something because there's like a 1/60second space to do each.

There were a couple occasions where I was able to execute a double grab, but on this run I could only do single grabs. Oh well, hopefully it's good enough

ok, anyone want to share their trick list? i have a feeling i'm missing some easy points somehwere :\

on the left side it was all grab+720, i think i had a mix of 2900 and 2600 scores there.

on the right side it's
grab+720 for 1300
straight 720 for 800
rail grind for ~600
handplant for ~825
kickspin for 300

bonus of 6000

You missed the stall, 200 pts I think, but it's another pass, so bonus is 9000 at the end.

Yeah, you had to make sure you did all unique "moves" on the right side to get the 9000 bonus. By moves I mean that the grab + 720 is "illegal". You needed to be holding right or left when you went in the air. My pattern was simple so I didn't get confused: 2 taps (of A)+ right, 2 taps +left, 1 tap + right, 1 tap + left, no taps + left.
