So you come across a large lot of original Game Boy boxes, except they're all cut. The expression on George's face on the Jetsons "box" all the way in the back desribes how a gamer might feel.

They've got some rare gems in the lot, but to me, these are just like those vidpro cards from Toys R Us that flood ebay. I guess people might collect those like baseball cards, so this is a lot worse.

The seller lists the condition as "like new."

lots of good titles but thats one step up from trash

-------------------------

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

It could still be used as a nice piece of art.

Exactly what I thought of. I have seen pizza places that use stuff like this or comic book art to cover their walls. It is actually real neat.

This is definitely true, but the situation is still incredibly disappointing.

No argument there.

Just trying to make the most of a crappy situation.

Fair enough. They would definitely look cool.

This was my first thought as well.  It sort of sucks that the boxes were cut, but I have too many other things to worry about in life to even let this be a blip on the radar.

In my old apartment, anytime I got some broken Famicom games, I'd hang them on the wall and (imo) it looked great as a decoration.  These could definitely make a nice art project of sorts.

Most GB boxes were tossed out back in the day, this is a step up from that, thinking of all the boxes I threw out, that's the REAL nightmare. This us at least preserving something.

Are we sure these are actually cut up boxes? Looks too clean, like they were used as promos or something.
