Just found this on ebay. I think this is prety cool as I loved this game. I found out about the alternate box art a long time ago and thought it would be cool to have but never seen one at a good price. This one is an interesting price since its actually a sealed one with this box art! Never thought a sealed one still was around.

And it looks like he has another auction for another one, but it isn't sealed and looks pretty rough...

Few weeks ago someone got this alternate box and everyone was discussing where it came from...

Mine.

Posting before someone accuses me of trying to mislead people.

From the auction:

Now, here's the issue with this copy.

It is either SEALED or RESEALED. It's an issue of contention.

I have people I trust that think this is legit, I have people I trust that think it's a reseal. For the sake of the auction we will call it resealed, but who knows.

No H Seal. It does have ventholes, and it's very tight too, no bumbs/waves/bubbles. I'm told it looks a lot like a Mexican Castlevania though or Demon's Crest.

Just wanted to point out I would never accuse anyone of this unless there was enough proof. Only posted because I thought it was unique to see one sealed wether its a legit seal or not. At least you honestly are coming forward and pointing out the facts.

Anyways, Good luck on the auction! Honestly a hard core fan of this game like me with a bigger wallet would pick this up with no problem. I would probably have it VGA myself only to make sure nothing happens to it and to show off the coolest cover art IMO!

No worries, not directed at you but figured I would cover myself before it happened.

Also, before it gets dredged up, I posted this here once before. Some people were very adamant that it's was a reseal. I let the thread die. I go to the person I bought the game from and try to work something out. He refuse to even answer my emails. I open a Paypal dispute. A friend of his bumps my thread seven days after the last post with a lot of accusations. With the necro bump, it look like I'm actively trying to sell it as sealed when disputing it. No once noticed dates, thread gets locked before I even make a post.

Again, irrelevant to this auction, but posting before someone brings it up.

If you send it off to get it graded can they tell the difference if its a legit seal or reseal?

I recall an instance of someone sending one of these in that looked just like it and got it refused sating that it was unable to be verified that it was authentic.  I'll try and dig it up.  Pretty sure it was here @ NA.

Why would you include the U in Neighbors in the auction title? I get that is how you spell it in Canada, but it's not spelled that way on the box. I would think that hurts your views.

If the seal was legit (or any sealed collector thought it was) it would be sold by now

I agree. If this was a factory seal, it would have sold instantly.

This is one of those sealed games I would buy if I truly didn't care about money, because I would immediately rip it open and investigate the contents.

laughable. legit copies aren't even sealed that way. legit copies have the vertical seam.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

ah this is yours.   well at least you disclosed the pertinent facts and pictures.   That's as real as a $3 bill though.

Wow $1,200... I would never spend that much on a game, especially if I'm not 100% sure if its legit seal or reseal. I love Zombie Ate My Neighrbors, but holy cow...

Is the buyer a member on NA? Would like to hear more from him about purchasing the game.

I don't own a copy but I've seen ones on ebay before, years ago.   They had the vertical seam.    Just like every other made (not assembled) in mexico game in the entire frickin library

Unless he wants to pay 1200 for a box (who knows what is inside) tell him to refuse the shipment. Paypal will side with him anyway.
