Okay good to know, I needed to pause in the middle of a good run earlier and just figured maybe you couldn't

I am assuming they implemented it that way to kill slow-mo features.

That makes sense, it was just very inconvenient at the time. When I couldn't pause it I just let the ball go down and then I'm guessing it will automatically shoot your ball off for you after so long because when I came back the high score screen was up

Strong score!

I'd definitely like to crack the 10mil mark, too.

Any sense of how much further you could push it?
Is the Wizard Bonus (for "beating" the game) substantial?  Does anybody know?

Its kinda tough to say... I think if I was to play this game once a day for a week that maybe 25-30 million would seem about right??? On my highest score so far on the very first ball I had about 9 million points, but choked after that. As for the wizard bonus, I have no clue...

Just curious, can anyone else not pause the game?

You have to hold start.  It is not instantaneous.
Holy shit... I never knew you could pause this game. What is that little heart icon that you can disable when the game is paused?

I'm already impressed by the scores posted. =) Pinball has never been my strong suit.

I've barely played the game this week but I broke 3M last night. I should post a decent score by the end of the week.

I could see that, maybe.

I feel like I tend to have a REALLY strong first-ball, but the other balls don't scale linearly, at all.  Not even close.

The difficulty-ramp-up of the flipper-destroying enemies can be brutal, though I am sure it is somewhat random.

Yesterday, I think I got attacked by 3 or 4 bomb-copters and 2 or 3 orange oozes in a row, and and some point you just can't really keep up with the onslaught.

At least if you manage to lock a ball while missing a flipper, you get the flipper back for free (without losing a safe/helicopter icon)

Piss! I almost hit 10M... Oh well, still a great score No VEC initials this time. The guy in my avatar has to get some fame too
I always liked Pin-Bot, but this one not so much. Now that I gave it a serious go, I have to say I enjoy it a LOT more!

9,956,790 Points

I actually had some time to play this week other than the hour before the deadline on Sunday. Stupid tumbleweed, but this game is not that bad though I prefer Pinbot.

After playing a considerable amount today, I think 25-30 million might have been a stretch . For anyone with limited to no experience playing this game before hand, I would consider a score of around 20 million to be exceptional for a one week contest ... You were definitely right about the difficulty after the first ball too.

This game get's crazy ridiculous and everything spawns extremely quick if it gets destroyed. The game definitely makes you work for that top score.

Oh man, I got the UFO bonus... It gives you a ton of points and and then you get a message that you beat the system. I fumbled with my stupid ass camera and could not get a picture off quick enough!!! Some how I still didn't even break my high score though..

I don't think I can crack 10 million.  All my subsequent plays have netted me 4 mil or less.

Damn, I'm an idiot.

I updated my score after figuring out I didn't read the picture taking guidelines for this week correctly. I was dead tired when I posted originally on Sunday night and I never re-read it after, and also didn't take a look at the thread again until last night, which is when I knew I screwed up. So, yeah, I had to put up a worse score than I had so I can get at least a participation point and hopefully this will be the only time I do that because of a mistake on my part.

I took it after the high score entry screen.  I dont' think it mattered, but still I'm a big stickler for the rules so I redid it.

I suspect it would be allowed. Post the better score alongside.

Here's the best I could muster up

Score: 6,020,480

I actually got pretty hooked on this game once I got used to how the bonuses and multi-ball worked. General average score for me once I got used to things was 4 million. I've never played Pin Bot either, but after this contest, I'm definitely on the hunt for copies of both these pinball games.

This one is from this morning.

Broke 10 million on my first ball, then the RNG decided to drain the rest down the side almost immediately!

I have noticed that not only do the flipper-killer enemies get considerably more aggressive as you score, the RNG itself tilts against you as your score increases making side-drains and flipper-misses more likely, and making some of the ramps have a tighter entry shot.

Decided that was good enough for today and finally popped in my shiny new copy of Legend of Link to give that a try.

I got frustrated and played one last game where I stopped trying to aim at stuff I can't hit, so of course that gets me my best score!

Tried to get a higher score than this but did not even come close, heavy RNG in this game but it was still enjoyable I thought
