I actually bought one of these from the KitschBent store not to long ago (http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/gb-boy-colour) I wish I had waited 1 month >.< Anyhoo, I've been playing Link's Awakening and Final Fantasy Adventure without any problems (It's played every game I've thrown at it, even flashcarts!) Backlight is SUPER nice and bright (It uses an actual LCD screen and not LED light's like the backlight game boy mods) and the console feels ALMOST like the original Game Boy Color. I say almost because it's slightly bigger and buttons are not shaped the same.. But it's really not a big deal at all! From what I understand, the one with the built in games are harder to find than one with no games, but after what Yingzhaxi has said about those... I don't think they would be worth it especially since they can't play Pokemon :/ I can honestly say I recommed the game-less ones 100% I was thinking of buying another one and painting it to look like the original DMG Game Boy (the grey brick) At this price, I might just get it...

The aspect ratio looks off to me which definitely squanders any desire to get one, honestly. To some people that isn't a big deal, which I totally understand, but it really is to me. ^.^

Got mine in the mail today. I was so excited. The package looks the same as the pic. I got the clear purple one. Had to find some AA batteries in the house though. I only had AAA ha. Got it fired up and the screen looks great. No built in games in it but thats ok. I mainly got it for the screen. I'll be camping next weekend so this will come in handy since I can't charge my 3Ds. I'll just get a pack of batteries and be good to go.

Good to hear it works well. Mine was attempted to deliver yesterday but nobody was there for it so it is at the post office now. I'll get it today.

So I picked mine up at the post office yesterday and spent some time with it last night. It has a good weight to it and the screen is great. The aspect ratio is a little stretched but I think it is something that can be overlooked. Zelda Oracle of Ages looks just fine and so does Donkey Kong. The buttons are solid feeling as well.

I also picked up the Gameboy Micro mentioned earlier in the thread and wow that thing is tiny. I didn't realize how small the micros are and have never seen one in person. The console looks brand new and came with everything, including the pouch. The box is beat up but that's ok.

Overall very pleased with the whole experience. I'm definitely ordering from Yingzhaxi again and have his store bookmarked..

Does anybody have a source for these at the same price? I was out of cash, and now they're out of stock!
