Hey Everyone,

I've got a Snes PAL proto, which is clayfighters TE its a Longboard, I cleaned it and tried it in a few Snes consoles with no luck. Theres a Dip switch with 8 switches the board itself has 6 Eproms. I'll uploaded a pic shortly..

Any ideas or if theres any kind of default with the dip settings any info would be great guys.

Mike

Try the following for the dip switch settings:

7: up
6: down
5: up

Yes:

Maybe I misread something when looking up CF2 or checking the EPROMs, but those dip switch settings I gave should be correct.

Also, just to verify, you are testing it with the solder side facing front, right?

Whenever I have had problems with a prototype, the usual solution is to make sure that it isn't pushed into the slot as far as it can go. Pull it out slightly.

We are still talking about prototypes right?? 😂 (I'm a big fan of Snes Central, a great resource for snes collectors! By the way!)

After going over the info on the link and the board layout image (thanks Svambo) It needed Dip's 6 and 7 to be on.. and it worked, so up and running. I'll give it a run over the next few days. I'm going to pick up a retrode 2 to dump some of these proto's.

Will post a bit more info shortly.

PS, Another proto I thought was dead, The Flinstones (US) release has a different logo screen at the start and a different font on the main title screen. Anyone seen that before? Again I'll post a few pics!

Cool, glad that you got it working. Hopefully there'll be some neat stuff in it and the others!

Yeah I hope so.. Again thanks for the info on the dip switches, it helped narrow down the options.

There's actually a couple of Flinstones prototypes that have been dumped, they both have some differences in the title screen.
