Greg is lifting huge weights? Everything makes sense now, the gutsman avatar, the cocky attitude, the muscle power in his scores, all the bruises I got from playing against him in the contest!

When I read that, I just pictured his workout routine consisting of lifting giant boulders over his head and throwing them.  

No joke, I told him once that I picture himself at work lifting boulders and throwing them around, and he posted a video of himself throwing a big rock in his yard, lol.

That rock is still in my yard. lol.

I'm pretty sure that video is in a thread on here somewhere. As far as the cart smashing,we aren't playing Joust this season.   Even so I just can't get myself to damage a NES cart. They are like sacred artifacts.

I nearly crushed Space Football. I had just enough control to instead give it a sharpie Scarlet Letter.

I threw Double Dragon II, but that is about it for NES punishment

Mario Bros. was the only cart that I resorted to smashing. I was unable to improve after practicing hard for two weeks.
 

I'll try to dig it, but what's not helping is that it was posted in a private thread IIRC so google is not an option.

I'm looking. I did find this picture after I smashed up an old dog house after getting frustrated with Donkey Kong Jr. playing it for a tournament one year. Lol.

That poor dog. RIP.

I couldn't film me in the picture actually throwing the rock as the damn thing weighs quite a bit. Plus I was balancing the rock in one hand and filming on my phone with the other. I think guillavoie made a comment about throwing rocks in a private thread and I made the videos in response.

Haha. My brother used to do it in high school. He was actually pretty good at it. I never messed with it though,I was too busy playing video games.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. They meant a lot and I really appreciate it. I want to give out a huge thank you to Santa and Brock for taking the time to organize the Hall of Fame and for all the work you have put into it so far. This is a pretty big job and I know you guys have put a lot of time and hard work into it. Keep up the awesome work. I also want to thank all the players for taking time out of their week every week to play in the contests. Guillavoie and myself may put a lot of time into organizing them, but if you guys weren't here playing in them, they wouldn't exist. Here's to many more successful years of the contests!

Also, Greg, that was an awesome interview. You are definitely one of the most passionate gamers I have ever met and it's nice to see someone enjoy the hobby and strive to better themselves at the games every day. Your skills have improved every year since you first entered the contests and they just keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work

Well said! It's amazing to see how much the contests have grown in just the last few years and the impressive skills that are on display each week. I can say that I'm truly honored to have been a part of them over the years!

The contests are very, very fun to take part on or to even watch from the sidelines like I did in 2014, 2015 and for a part of 2016.
