Not sure if this list is mainly for NA members, but there is someone on Instagram who has Grey cart #83. He says he isn't a member here.

https://instagram.com/thevgdb/

Info from another thread on NWC #83. Just wanted to repost here for ongoing records and updates to this thread.

Nick Morgan (banned from here) is listed on page 2 as the owner.
Nick Morgan = thevgdb.

So it hasn't changed hands.

Well shit, that explains it!

Quick Google Images search finds the same pic which probably means it's stolen from this link - http://questicle.net/2012/12/452-...

. My thoughts exactly ,no one with any sort of common sense is going to meet someone they don't know ,with $20K cash to complete a transaction .That listing has scam and dangerous written all over it,I just hope no one is going to be foolish enough to fall for this HIGHLY suspect Craig'sList listing.

Just wanted to post a quick follow-up. #306 is in fact real and currently owned by a private collector. The pics in both of the links above are real but are stolen from him (the pics have been cropped/edited to not show the name written on the piece of paper in the top right corner). Scam.

I am new to NA and I saw one of those NWC 1990 gold carts once. It was in 1993, in Oak Harbor, WA. I went to my friends house to play his SNES that he just got and his NES and in the stack of NES games he had next to his TV was the NWC 1990 gold cartridge. At that time I didn't know how rare it was going to be. The guys name was Craig Donovan. Don't know if he still lives in that town or not. I also have no idea if he ever sold that gold cart or if he still has it to this day. Might be worth checking into if there is people still hunting down the 13 NWC gold carts that haven't been found yet.

Mine....#260 is the most faked.....Stephen Lin took high resolution photos of the label many years ago and the image has helped facilitate making bogus labels.

I can't believe people will fake a NWC gold cart just to make money. Sickens me when I think about it

2. There is an issue with the New York Winner for 12-17. The list here (and a few others) show Rob Bianco as the winner. List on Wikipedia and a few other site show Alex Markovich. Need to figure out which one is the winner.
I can confirm Rob Bianco was the winner for NYC 12-17.  I met him at the finals, and in fact -- here is a picture of me, him and David Lopez which was published in a newspaper in 1991.  Point of correction on the paper, David Lopez is incorrectly stated in the caption as being from NY, he's actually from NJ (Jersey City), and was the Meadowlands 12-17 winner.

Wow - amazing story.  I have a message out to Lukiegames to determine which cart # the father won and which cart # was the son's.

Update: Father and Son were each finalists (66 & 88) and the cart numbers could have been swapped. They believe #66 was Bob's and #88 was Jeff's.

I think around $12,000 for grey and I thought someone was selling a gold for $75,000.

Is that $75,000 the asking price or an actual sale? I didn't think the gold had sold for higher than $30,000, if that.

Very true.  It's hard to price something that hasn't sold in a long time either. :-\

That gold 75k was just someone hoping some sucker would waste their money on it to look at on a shelf, with the notion that it will increase in value! Cuz anyone that can throw away 75k def needs more money.

On that note, im selling my Little Samson cart thats 9/10 for $6,000. Add $5 for flat rate priority shipping.
