Sorry if this is the wrong place, I'm trying to post from my phone quick. I just tried to trade a ps2 to gamestop for 20, but they have a weekend deal of +50% credit, so if you have a ps2 laying around, get to gamestop.

Do you mean PS3s? I thought they stopped being associated with PS2s.

Yeah, it's totally out of nowhere but they've been taking PS2s again for the past few weeks.

Are you serious? Anyone else had any luck with this? I have a few ps2's laying around. I've never traded anything in, but I would be all over this.

Credit, but I managed to get a steelbook MPT, a Mega Man Amiibo, and some hard to find Wii games. I'd consider it well worth my time.

The weird thing is that they didnt even test them. the guy just told me that they have to look good. Sounds really weird to me, They sell them for $50 with all cables, and these were just bare systems. The guy told me that they pay even less for Xbox 360s with all wires. lol

The Gamestop by me still has a lot of PS2 games for sale - probably gonna stock the systems at least for a little while...

The first Gamestop I tried the employee never heard of the promo and threw up BS to keep from accepting the bare PS2 I wanted to turn in. The second store I tried a day later I had no problems. The employee just scanned the PS2's barcode and gave me my $20 gift card. No testing was done. So I'd say YMMV until all the stores are caught up.
