I was expecting this to be a participation week but I'm enjoying the game more than I expected. I'll be happy if I make top 5. (I'd like to maintain my top 5 streak in beat em ups since Battletoads last year.)

I think I'm about done with this game for now. These middle levels are getting awfully frustrating, even if I'm just trying to run through them.

Why do I have the sudden urge to play R.C. Pro Am?  

Yeah... The furthest I've gotten is stage 10 and 45k points. But I'm going to keep trying. The game gets infuriating in the later stages. I'm constantly yelling at the screen.

 

Oh god, this game.

The breakdancers might be the most aggravating enemy that I've faced in a beat em up this year. Abobo? Fucking pussies compared to these guys. Their attack pattern is so unpredictable.

They are absolutely the worst.
The only reliable way I have found to deal with them is to spam the drop kick when they are nearing you. You will hit them pretty much all the time.
But good luck on stages where you don't have it. Jumping straight up when they near you works some times, so I just try to do that, hit them then jump over them and move to the next section, because fuck dealing with those guys.
 

I'm stuck at the stage 10 boss.

It doesn't help that the controls kind of suck, resulting in lots of accidental jumps and facing the wrong direction.

 

Good luck with 11 if you beat 10

On my run I played really well up to Stage 9 and then lost all my lives there. Took me many tries to figure out the boss in 9. With continues I didn't get past 10.

Then I should probably focus on getting more points in the first 9 stages rather than beating stage 10.

Stage 10 is incredibly difficult.
 

I can try and record a video of my current strategies for those stages if you lads want.
Stage 10 usually feels really short on time and the attacks they give you suck.
Trying to beat the breakdancer with the body flying or the sweep is an exercise of futility. You have to get him on the arm spin and land a body flying right after to get rid of him before he can recover.
