I see a lotta zeroes and no cheese graters. I'm starting not to believe you people.

He ain't that bad. Pretty much a white Lil Wayne knockoff. I'd probably jam this all day if I still worked at the record store. Not on my own time tho. I give him a 'meh' plus one 'cause I'd rather listen to him than Babymetal. Still a far cry better than LP.

I’m not hating on lil xan. I wonder about his happiness. I hadn’t heard of him before today. His rapping doesn’t seem to be the best but the beats are pretty good. He came from nothing and is only 22 years old. Allegedly he speaks out about not using drugs...

i liked “betrayed” and “tree sap”

...damn Lil Xan you da man.

i personslly really dislike rap. Its pretty garbage nowadays especially. Cant wait till its not the mainstream music source anymore.  But this? This the literal worst of the genre.

You know.... this is going to sound strange, but it's only because of how terrible Lil Xan is. 

Compared to Lil Xan, I got MAD respect for Bhad Babie. I mean... strictly from a capitlaization standopint. Chick goes from telling Dr. Phill off to getting paid to "rap". I'll give her credit, as awful of an "artist" and shitty it is to be paid for being a dumbass. I still give that more respect than what the fuck this punk Xan does. 

So if we were talking about Bhad Babie independently she would get a "0", but since we're comparing her to Xan, she gets glowing reviews.

You are correct that Lil Xan is worse than awful, but please PLEASE don't compare him to the entire genre. That's casting waaaaaaaaaay to huge of a net. There's an incredible amount of amazing rap music out there, don't hate on it all.

This should appease you. And Classified has some INCREDIBLE and original beats as well.

It really is hard for me to give anyone credit who isn't accompanied by instrumentation via people who actually play instruments, It's pretty fucking sad when "He makes his own beats" is some kind of big deal and makes a difference.

Play the drums and make a funky beat, put in the years and 1000s of hours of time...Or do what these fucking jokers do and know acknowledge it's easier to do it at a computer....You can just delete shit you don't like and I know you can cut and paste in recording programs these days but you still had skill to acquire especially if you are expected to play it live.

This genre and a lot of other "I can rhyme over a computer beat" is the worst of the fuckin worst.

seems diplo makes a number of his beats. Diplo is a pretty renown, and Grammy winning, edm artist. Explains why some of his beats are pretty good

Most mainstream rap beats are bullshit, just something simple and catchy, which I guess is an artform on it's own, but its usually very very simple.

What about stuff like this though. Where you're essentially mixing and performing live on the fly. You might not like the music, but you gotta agree that theres certainly some talent and a lot of work that goes into being to perform a set like this. It's not just pressing play and pretending to twist knobs and press buttons.

That's pretty cute, couple lil knobs here and there just more into guys who can play though.

Some examples of something specifically from the electronics 

I'm sure that the guy has talent in his field but there's guys who shovel horse shit better than some too.
