Hahaa I don't like the genie lamp tracks but I'm making myself get better. I think it's alot about memorizing the track layout. Knowing what to do before hand.

The people who have posted monster scores said this is one of a few games they owned as a young person. Leading me to believe they have it memorized.

This game frustrates me to the point where I want to pull it out of my nintendo throw it on the ground and stomp on it like a 5 year old throwing a fit.

But my girlfriend gave it to me for Christmas a few years back. so I love it 😁

Added* I can't help but agree with the use of the word "gimmick" although if I was better at the game I would be saying how great it is lol!

I've only beaten through luck. I'm like 2 for 20 attempts in the past day.

Track 14 is by far my worst it's a nightmare for me.

I definitely said a few (or a lot) of choice words at the game when it failed to register that I picked up the "O" on track 16. I rarely get to that track,so I don't know it well. Missed it on the first 3 tries,thought I clipped it on the 4th and 5th. Pulled a quick u-turn to get it but was unable to catch back up. Was so freaking irritated. Trying to pick up the upgrades and letters while not placing last is stressful. Would have much preferred a pre/post upgrade feature of some sort.

Im glad we have the weekly competitions. I've had this game for a while now and this is the most I've ever played it.

It's great to see all the participants and even if I like the games or not, if I'm good or bad at them, they all hold some nostalgia and take me back.

Even if we didn't own the game ourselves we remember that buddy (or that kid you didn't really care for across the street) who had a copy. The first time we played it or remembering that time (whatever it was that happened) while playing it. The time you let that other "buddy" borrow it and never got it back or it came back with coke spilled on/in it and the label all tore up. Lol yup good stuff.

I would like to reach 200k as well. I haven't been past 22 either.

I just want to spell Nintendo twice and I'll be happy. I've never gotten to the sports car without continuing so that would be a nice accomplishment for me regardless of whether it lands me in the top ten or not.

to me it almost feels like i have to bomb around 21 and 22 , once those open wheel cars get past me they never make a mistake i just cant catch them and i am still having a hard time controlling the quicker car. i tried to not pick up the last letter and keep the second car for the last 4 tracks but after 21 the cpu cars were still driving perfect races

Yup, bombs are required for late game, which I would say the 20s tracks qualify as. And to think, the difficulty curve doesn't hit until track 25!

I would recommend just picking up the letter. You're going to have to do it eventually, and the more practice you get with the fastest car the better.

Yep,if you get all the letters on the tracks and spell Nintendo,you change cars. You can change cars twice. You get 40k each time you spell Nintendo.
