I put my scores up against yours.  Honestly I'm not sure how I missed out on so many points in some of these stages, but that's okay!

In 8-1, I know I killed two robots in the reactor room and several of Zodas hopping things.  I got through the reactor room one time without killing anything, and then I promptly blew it on Zoda.   

Wow, the last dungeon is enough of a dick on it's own, much less without killing anything.

Ha!  No doubt.  I didn't keep track of incremental progress, kinda wish I would've now.  Oh well, maybe again in 2 years

Considering the result, I will have to recover lost ground on the action/platformer on Contra.
But it gets boring after a few hours looping it to max the score.  

I expect to see some sort of "only one loop" rule, or something to that effect. Probably also a "no farming" rule. Perhaps even a low score single loop progress contest.
 

Low score could be interesting. I feel that one loop, high score wouldn't be as fun as allowing people to loop to their hearts content.

Yeah I'd like to see a game where the rules are simply "get as high a score as you can, no holds barred"; let people play as many loops as they want, get some insane world record style scores put up!

Same thing would of happened in round one last year (Mario Bros.) where you'd have to play for 80 straight hours
