Damn. And here I am trying to no death in a weeks time. thats the bar to even have a shot this week, imo.

The game wouldn't be so bad to no death if not for the timer in act 7. You only have 250 seconds for everything and it goes on forever. Plus there's only one health refill in the entire act and no refill right before the bosses.

Nobody in tier 1 beat Adventure Island in 2016. It could be a similar situation with NG3 but I might be proven wrong. There are some amazing gamers in this group.

Okay, I no-deathed to 7-3B. That's the furthest I've ever gotten on one life. That's almost right before the final bosses.

I’ve only mage it to act 4 no death. I’ve been practicing the rest of the game with continues in order to familiarize myself with the later levels. I’m running short on time. I’ve made it to 7-3c. But I need to start my full game runs before tomorrow. 

Im not real sure if I will get very far. I’ll try like hell though. 
 

This is WAY harder than Ninja Gaiden 2, isn't it?

At least in NG2 you get a lot of health refills and enemies do way less damage.

 

It does seem more difficult. I think it is the health replenishments. 

You woukd think it would be easier without the infinite spawning enemies but it doesn’t feel that way. 

Ive started my full runs. I feel a little more confident now that I have seen the whole game. 
 

Enemies do a lot of damage and this game loves to ambush the player with big swarms of them. You only need to make a few mistakes in order for your health to get dangerously low.

Well, you guys didn't want to make it easy for you all at the very finals of the tournament, did you?  

Still much easier than the Adventure Island one life contest from 2016. But a lot of this depends on what you've played.

Now that the rust is shaken off, I can pretty consistently reach act 7 without dying, but I haven't been able to reach the bosses with one life.

Act 5 is where enemy placement starts to get ridiculous. But only the first half. Second half is easy.

I just no-deathed to the final bosses but I didn't have enough time to even fight the first one. I just had to be a little faster.

I want to no death this someday. It might not be this week but I really want to do it.

Fuck that act 7 timer. Just fuck it. I want to defeat at least one or two of the bosses before I call it quits. You have to haul ass.

It is the last day. I wonder what sort of scores we will be seeing today!

Thanks for you bea ink. I know we all appreciate the time and effort you have put in this year. It’s your face we see around here most often this year. It means a lot to us to have a place to play games we like and games might not have played otherwise (wether we like them or not) and share accomplishments. 

I’m always gonna whine but that’s part of they charm, right? Lol. 

Anyway puzzle games suck and and no matter what happens at the end of today. We all had a lot of fun this year didn’t we?! 

Now. Time to get that title that belongs here with skinny. I am a champion and your gonna hear me roooaaarooorooorrooorr. 
 

Sometimes the game glitches out in 5-1B and the platforms disappear, ending your run. This has happened to me a couple times. Very annoying.
