The PS2 section of my library has been gathering dust for a while now and I decided I'd start cleaning it up by playing through games in my backlog. The first game I began playing is Mark of the Kri. I'm sure you guys are familiar with it, I own it because it's known as a gem, but I've never sat down and played it. This game is awesome. It's always great as a gamer when you pop something in and it just blows you away, not average, not mediocre, you just immediately have fun and feel happy playing it. For a while now when I look at my PS2 section I've thought that all the best games are on then PS3, but that is a really dumb idea. The PS2 still has some juice. Last year I played Maximo: Ghosts to Glory for the first time - amazing. (Haven't been able to get into the sequel, might try again) I'm really gonna start playing more of these that I haven't gotten to. I'm looking at Tenchu and Way of the Samurai on the shelf and I just ordered Shinobi, and Max Payne, and I want to order Onimusha. If you guys know of any other solid action platformers let me know. I'm also thinking about giving Vexx a shot.
If you weren't aware the Mark of Kri had a follow up titled Rise of the Kasai.
Also based on what you've written here you should try Okami.
Also Nightshade is the follow up to Shinobi and is starting to get expensive.
