My amazing wife got me a Wii U Deluxe Set w/ Mario and Luigi games! I can't wait to get home next week and set it up. What did you gots ask for or receive ( does not have to be videogame related).

In addition to the framed Earthbound print and the custom NES controller in my Christmas thread, I got Cards Against Humanity with 3 expansions (thanks, reluctant mom), a bunch of gift cards/certificates, and an NPR Selected Shorts CD that I've wanted for a long time (makes long drives a lot more tolerable).

Best of all, my wife and I hosted Christmas at our new place for the first time (on Christmas Eve) and it was a great success. My mom even stomached 25 rounds of Cards Against Humanity in the name of Christmas spirit. What a good sport!

A telescope, used it to check out some planets I've never seen before which was freaking awesome! Planets not in our solar system, it's almost mind boggling when you think about it. Last night was the perfect night for using it too and even though it took awhile to set up, man it was so freaking awesome I can't explain it. I'm such a nerd!

No video game stuff, but I also didn't ask for any. Enjoy your Wii U, sucker is FUN!!!

On a more serious note, I've played EarthBound today for so long, I feel all tense and mentally worn out.
Then you called your mother and felt better?

Jeez. Telescopes must be really powerful these days. I don't remember the Jason telescope I had when I was a kid doing much more than making stars look more magnified and seeing the finer details of the moon.

I bolstered my games collection by quite a bit this Christmas. Also got a Kindle Fire HD (which I already hacked so it can use the Google Play store), a Canon PowerShot SX510 HS, which should dramatically increase the quality of my photos, but mainly I was just happy giving gifts to my loved ones, family and friends, and especially my son.

It has several interchangable focus power lenses, and it was a perfect night for it last night, tonight too actually.  It's a Celestron Powerseeker 70AZ, a beginner scope if you want stats on it.
