Okay, my best so far. And hey, its on my NES! Cross-stitched my name specifically for the contest too. I always have so much trouble with the ice stage until I've played it a ton.

I've never been this far so I died early on in the stage. I did so good on the extra bird points on level 2. I don't think I'll ever get a good run on the second level like this one so I'm going to probably call it quits here. Unless a score pops up with enough time for me to "try" and beat it

Okay, finally after over a dozen tries passed my previous score. Died in a stupid easy spot, just kept getting hit over and over by those giant snowballs. And to think I was doing even better a few games before that when I had almost the score I have in this pic and was at the very end of the ice stage and my dog decided to lick the bottom of my foot and tickled me causing me to slip off of that last falling platform and onto the spikes, but I know my score wouldn't have been much difference from what I have now because I suck bad at the surfing stage.

Yeah, we really got some competition on this one. I need to do better, I don't even make 5th place as it stands.

I was going to sit down and try some more tonight, until I started seeing what others are posting. Once again, I am way out of my league.
Nice scores everybody....and there is still 2 days left...

I tried this game for about an hour today. I don't remember sucking this bad. I am with Benihana, after seeing the scores already posted, I might as well give up now.
Anyway, I think I will give it another try a little later on tonight and maybe I can get a score that is not embarrassing to post.

 

Hey, give it your best, never know, you might surprise yourself. I'm not doing quite as good this time around as I had first time this game was in the contest, if only I can make it to that fat rat in the surfing stage then I'll be happy with whatever I have for score, the snake pit would be even better but that's pushing it.

 

Double post, because I got me a better score, still need improvement, but its something. And I just so happened to die by those damn big ass snowballs again, what the hell, they started rolling down before I even jumped up to that ledge with the fly, and just kept on coming. At least I'm getting better with increasing my score in level 2. But the way I'm doing with the ice stage, doesn't look like I'm even going to make it to the surfing anytime soon. Oh, I did continue playing after dying, managed to get to the fire zone before having a game over, this stage is also one I hate, love the speeder bike stage, also don't mind the one with the wall wheel, but hate the surfing and hate the fire zone even more.

I would encourage everyone to submit a score, even if it means you might only get the participation point. Don't let the high scores discourage you from playing. Also, don't feel embarrassed if you submit a low score. These contests are all about having fun playing the NES.

I didn't have this score in the beginning of the contest. I had a pretty bad score compared to this(Died on the 2nd level a lot). I'll tell you this much. Level 2 is the only way to rack up a good score. Juggle as many birds as possible and you can get an easy 200,000 on that level alone. Believe me I tried for an easy 2 or 3 hours before getting a decent score.
