Mabye people are too obsessed playing switch games. I like the switch, but I dont have to play it all the time for gaming fun. Apparently no one played wii u and contests were booming. contest participatin the first few months of last year was pretty good before the switch picked up steam
 

Possibly. I know I am currently moving back and forth between Paladin's Quest (SNES) and Skyrim (Switch), of all games, which would be madness to most people

Well, guys, I didn't want to spoil the fun by participating with DKC2 but I didn't want to give away any tips so I waited until now to post this:




That's World 1 and World 2, 100%. Demonstrates warps in every stage, even where they slow me down.

I can do it a lot faster now. That was just something I threw together when Penny-Arcade forums was doing a Let's Play around 2007. I was too late to get a world assigned to me, so a I just made that to show off. It had been years since I had played. I did a practice run and determined that I can do it a lot faster now but I've probably had even more time off.

That wont do anything for 102 percent though. I could habe done alot faster than 2:57. Didnt see a ton of participation so i didnt bother. I was in mid run on my third playthrough couple days before. Would have gotten the bonus point. If it was a normal length month id have finished it.

Right, but knocking out 100% the first two worlds particularly fast would give anyone a head start on the rest.
 

Whatever.  Febs a short weird month and DKC2 is a long game.  Less people is fine by me I want to win
 

I LOVE the SNES contest, and do plan to particpate every single month. I'd love to see it continue, but I know it's hard work. 

As I said, Feb has just been INSANE for me. I've had a ton of late 12+ hour days working on this website that releases tomorrow.

Is Super Punch-Out that hard for new players? It's one of those games that I've played so much that I can't objectively rate its difficulty for an inexperienced player. It's still a bit surprising that only two of us made it past the major circuit.

No.  I'm pretty sure everyone had the game cleared last time.

 

I think last time there were more people who were experienced with the game. This time it seemed like almost everyone had never played it before.

Probably the average player should be able to reach the special circuit within a few weeks even if they can't beat the last three guys. People must have been busy last month.



 

personally, I was busy. I only gave it about 2 hours to play for the month
