You generally pay in advance, but in the email they sent around they said that the financial details will be taken care of later...so no need to pay yet at least.

Man, I'd love to join you guys, and it would be very easy to convince my wife to head over to Germany... Alas time off work is hard to come by at the moment, and I should let the bank account recover a bit after the trip to the US
