Ok. If no one bids on this from this site I may have a chance.
But probably not....

Happy bidding everyone.

So, my girlfriend finally finished school and got a job, and I just bought a shit ton of games on eBay, totaling around $450. If I hadn't done that, I might actually have been able to be in the running for this game.

I can't afford it now but someday hopefully.... I bid $100 just to freak my wife out... "you are going to spend $100 on a Nintendo game?!!!"

I tried to tell her it will likely go for over $1,000 but she doesn't get it

Look at the receipt -- it shows the date on it.

I'm curious as to how much he paid for it.  The price is covered up...do you think he got it real cheap somewhere that didn't realize what it's worth or if he paid a lot.  Seems that even if I had a retail store, you could fetch more in an auction.

And its a 10 day auction and has only been up for 2 hours. This has got to be one happy seller. This is defintley going to sell for $1000+.IMO this game is WAY over hyped.

Exactly what I'm saying, except for the overhyped bit. It was pretty much assumed within the NES community that the next SE to hit eBay would fetch four figures (am I right, NGD? Dain? Bronty?)...

How is over $1000 for a cart only game not overhyped? It is purley speculation on how many of the games where relased, and with the popularity of retro games many noobs know the name stadium events and think big $$$.Plus is it a crappy sports title, for a grand it could at least be fun.Thats just my 2 cents. But good luck to anyone who will be bidding from Nintendoage!

The last few have sold for 900 anyways, so a jump to the grand mark isn't going to be "that" big of a shock. This is the first one in a long time though, I am going to guess $1150 on this one.

It would really save you guys a bunch of money to not bid this up right now and wait till the end!

Ditto that. If you see me wanting an auction, look for me in the last 15-30 seconds. That's when I'll strike, if I strike. Now if I can raise the funds for this one...I may go after it.

Does no one else find it strange that the receipt is from Montreal, Quebec and the guy lives in Marietta, Georgia?  I wouldn't find it so odd if the time frame was longer...but come on.

I'm sensing some mischief here.

I bid early as a place holder so people know I am interested in it. Then I usually won't bid again till near the end. I change my bidding style up though so I am not as predictable to snipe and beat.

This is it, Stadium Events, the absolute rarest released game for the Nintendo entertainment system. This is one of the hardest to find games on any system.

This is the NTSC version of this game it will play in your nintendo. This is not the comparitively common PAL version

This game saw extremely limited release before nintendo recalled every copy they could. I am not sure how many copies of this game exist, but I am sure that this one does.

This game is the absolute heart of my collection, but I am forced to sell it as I need the money.

The repceit has to be old or the part about being the heart of a collection is pretty funny if he just got it a few weeks ago.

I think it will go for 1200.00 I may be completly wrong but I still say stadium events is a lot rarer than most people think. Ive been on ebay since 99 and I havent seen to many. The ones I have seen were ones bought and resold many times. And there have been a lot of bogus stadium events auctions. bill mario man Im pretty sure got ripped off on one of those auctions.
