Hey everyone!  This week's game and the final game of Block 4 is going to be Skate or Die.  Here are the rules:

  • Play in Compete Mode
  • You must play Freestyle, Jam, and Race modes
  • Add all three scores together to get your final score
  • Take a picture of all 3 scores in the trophy menu
  • Highest score wins
  • GENRE: Sports

The contest ends Sunday, 7/22/12 at 10 PM NA time.  Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  Good luck everyone and have fun!

I don't think I have played this one before. However, I have played Ski Or Die as kid. Liked the snowball fight.

Skate or Die was quite fun after a few tries. First I didn't understood how to do at Freestyle. Jam was the most fun. Probably there are some trix to get very high score, which I am not aware of.

Total score for all three: 20 051

I borrowed this game from a friend and I totally sucked at it. Gave it back to him without recording a score.

Could have done much better, i had this game back in the day and WAS really good at it i waited till the last minute and ran out of time today oh well

Great Scores on Race and Jam Anthony!

Would you let me know how you achieved 12k in the race. I would like to try to besten my scores. Also, I suppose that you found a good way to push down lester constantly in jam?

^You beat my Downhill Jam score by 30 points I punched Lester a bunch of times to get my Jam score. I also found out by looking at an FAQ that if you jump on the police car at the end, you get 1300 points.

any part of the course where lester spawns in a small area, you can constantly jump and knock him down for 500 points a pop, i did it in 2 places on my run but it does stop giving you points after a while

Thanks, im not sure which part of the course you took but I take the left hand side and pull off a 360 off the first ramp. If you hold in A it will let you spin more freely. I know you can do it off the other 2 ramps too but I couldnt get it to happen

Thanks a bunch for the 360 info! I'll try to perform this later.

I did my 9,600 run all on the left side, but I didn't jump over the grey thing at the end of the race for 500.

Yesterday I was aiming for a 10,500 score by passing through fences on the right, then taking the pipe. It was really annoying to turn all the way from the right side to enter perfectly the pipe, so I couldn't make it before the end of the contest.

the 360 off a ramp is worth 2000 so its well worth it to pull it off

Gui, on the right side, near the end, you can jump from island to island across the water. If you make it all the way you get a big bonus:





edit: it's easiest to go off the ramp at the start, then go right and jump over the little peice of dirt and the grate, then try to line up for the island. There's sort of a sweet spot that's just a few pixels farther left than where I'm at in this screen. It's not easy to do but it's possible!

next day edit: I just looked at TG out of curiosity, and this score beats the posted record by quite a wide margin. Huh. Surely I'm not the only person who knows about this??

Thanks a bunch for the tip Phil!

I suspected that stunt was possible, but never tried hard enough to make it. Now I need to Skate or Die and milk a 17k run in the race.

Some games don't get enough love from TwinGalaxies players. I think the Ramp and the race events are perfect for a score contest.
