Hi everyone, just getting back into some retro gaming. I'm 35 years old and starting to pick up systems and games that I loved when I was younger. My parents used to own a video store in the 80's and 90's and we had over 500 NES titles (not counting extra copies), over 200 SNES, and about the same Genesis/CD/32X at the time. I eventually became the owner from 97 until I liquidated everything in 99 because it was already a dieing industry. I really wish we hadn't gotten rid of all that stuff. I had over 200 PS1 titles and kept some that I bought and never used, which are most of the rare RPG type of stuff that's in my collection.
In the past 2 weeks, I found an NES with a bunch of peripherals for $10 that works perfectly and looks amazing in the back of a thrift store warehouse area in a crate under a ton of old electronics, snagged a SNES with 20 games for like $60 from an ebayer (love those 2am auctions).
I may have just hit the motherload of NES games that almost went to the dump. I found a guy who buys and sells storage auctions and he had some games (approx 35) that he was going to throw out. I got them for a pretty nice price. The list says a very special title that I will reveal in a few days if it's a legit title. I'm really hoping it is
Anyways, I've been reading these forums for a bit now and really like the vibe here, so I'd like to hang out and contribute a bit and learn some more. I'd consider myself a casual collector and I'm in the process of building a gaming room out of my extra bedroom. Yes, the wife approves, she's a gamer too!
Take care everyone!
