Hey HiSpec, any rough ETA on round 2 yet? I'm hyped, just sayin'  

Still working on it... But I'll have a good chunk of time coming up soon so hopefully not too long!  

Bump for HiSpec's Genesis repros. This man's work is the best you will find, so I just bought another 4 games; it's like Christmas came early, and for the second time in as many months!

By the way, I'm running low on copies of Alien Soldier and Mega Man, so if anybody is interested in those, I suggest buying sooner rather than later...

I think just bought one of your Alien Soliders on Ebay, looked awesome! Wish I had seen it here first lol. I might buy a few others, as well, just need to do some research on them to see if they're up my alley.

What do you guys think of Rent-A-Hero? seems like a real interesting and quirky title

Rent-A-Hero is a cult classic in Japan. When it came out it was a bizarre, quirky title that had "Sega" written all over it, and it was developed by Sega's famous arcade division AM2. To this day it still gets a ton of love in Japan but is mostly unknown elsewhere.

I think it's a great game, but don't have high expectations for the fighting (keep in mind that it came out in 1991, shortly after the release of Street Fighter II). It's definitely worth a try, though.

I purchased WMIV, Pulseman, Wily Wars and Alien Soldier for my Nomad, all four work great. The manual, case, stickers. etc. look great, a must buy.

Wily Wars does still have the slowdown, so I'm curious how the repro was built.

Wily Wars will always have the slowdown unless you overclock your Genesis - it's just how the game was (poorly) programmed. That said, it's not THAT bad, but on some bosses it can be very noticeable (it actually makes the bosses easier).

As to how I make these: I've been using donors, so the carts operate just as the original games did using all the same chips and parts. Be wary of any Chinese bootlegs which use flash chips as this can damage your Genesis over time.

how about verytex? pretty solid and the manual is pretty easy to translate.

I'm furiously burning EPROMs and soldering   I want to make sure I've got enough ready to sell! I'll update tonight or tomorrow.
