Met up with someone from a Facebook buy/sell/trade group. She sent me a picture of all of the N64 stuff. That was good enough for me. When I got there, the person was hosting a garage sale at her friend's house. After showing me all of the N64 stuff, her friend mentioned that she had some SNES stuff in her basement and asked if I was interested in that. She brought it out...and I flipped! Total ended up being $140 for the N64 bundle and $40(!) for the SNES bundle. See below.

My son... gives me Helpful Nintendo Hints that are far too complex for the adult mind to comprehend. Here's a verbatim example: "OK, there's Ganon and miniature Ganon and there's these things like jelly beans and the miniature Ganon is more powerfuller, because when you touch him the flying eagles come down and the octopus shoots red rocks and the swamp takes longer." And the hell of it is, I know he's right. - Dave Barry

It surprises me how people don't bother to check prices on ebay before putting stuff up for sale... lucky us, I guess.

Excellent find, sir.

But seriously, how did you keep a poker face when you saw earthbound?

I thought the same thing. I had to run to the bank to get more money when I made the offer for the SNES time. The entire time, I was just hoping that they wouldn't think to look up the prices before I got back.

And I just kept my cool when I saw it. I've had to keep my cool when I've come across rare, unexpected suprises during a pickup so I've perfected it.
