I was looking at a poster that came with one of my games, and it said the Price is right coming soon. does anyone know if there is a ROM for this game or if anyone is in the process of reproducing it?

I think I've seen the ad you speak of... I'm unsure as to whether there are any surviving protos (you might check with DreamTR on that). I think it'd make a heck of a fun game, though...I always liked the show. I remember watching that show at 11 AM Eastern on CBS daily when I was very young, and I used to watch it consistently on my days off work until Bob Barker stepped down. At one point, my mother made me somewhat of a replica of the wheel they spin (but what I had was more of a square with rounded corners , and it was wooden, painted navy blue with white numbers). I'm looking for the old board game, btw...

there was a thread about this on nesworld a while back.....sorry but I'm too lazy to dig it up. You could go search for it though, I believe it was discussed in detail so it should answer all your questions. My fried brain cannot remember the details.

I remember watching on "sick days" when I would stay home from school, and then all summer long.

Almost positive a protos has NOT been found for this one. One could exist though.

I am sure if anyone could find it that person would be DreamTR. He has so many industry contacts he would have the best chance.

Can we program Drew Carey into the game instead of Bob Barker just to play with people's heads?

I dunno. You could add in Drew as the host so long as  theres a place on the wheel where if you land on it, you have to fight Bob Barker (ie: Happy Gilmore)
He has to walk out an say  "The Price is Wrong B#$&h"  and then starts wailing on you.

I'd love to see this one happen -- go, Al, go! ...especially with the option to fight Bob Barker!

Maybe a game with just 8 bit Adam Sandler and Bob Barker sprites fighting and that's the whole game.

I tried on this one a long time ago. The PC version is a replica of what it would have been (the 1st edition floppy one), I went to an industry shindig for Call of Duty back in the day and one of the guys at Activision was one of the head honchos at GameTek in Miami. He told me that it never really made it far or on to a cart, so I guess that ended that. I do have a Harlem Globetrotters with SUPER PASSWORD CES scratched out....darn.
