I wasn't sure if I was going to do this on this run. I was down to my last eligible life so I had to make it count....and I did. My heart was really pounding though...lol. Not a no death like I was hoping for,(both lives lost on the Dracula battle) but a two death isn't bad either. I may try again after a short break but I'm pretty happy with this score.

I didn't had much time to work for a low score, and since it was the first time I was trying to beat the game with no continue, I decided to boost myself some extra lives to maximize my chances to beat it. Done

Up and running this week, squeaking in with a score. Sadly, this will be my sole entry. I died at Dracula's second form and it was such a dissapointment. Was on a role and did a lot of boss rush research on this game. Never knew how broken a triple shot holy water combo was!

I wasn't sure if I'd participate this week or not, since I've always been not so hot at this game. However, I couldn't pass up playing Castlevania in October so here's a last minute entry since I didn't have to work tonight.



BTW, Gutsman, I'm glad you decided to stay with the contests. It wouldn't be the same without you since its been a pleasure competing and at times learning from you too. Also, Mega Man week coming up wouldn't feel the same!

Damn it! I forgot to post my score! It probably would have placed, too. Oh well.

The sad thing lately is that it seems like simply posting a score is enough to get in the top 10. I don't know where everyone went, but hopefully the participation starts to pick back up soon.

I'd like to compete more but there's been a long streak of games I don't own.   

I hear you on that one. There do seem to be a lot of obscure games this half. I only own about 1/3 of them myself and I've never even played the others. I'm just surprised at the low turnout this week when it seemed like a contest that a lot of people were looking forward to.

Good point.  You'd think Castlevania in October would've brought out more people.  A really fun list of games from here til the finish though.  I'm sure it'll pick up.
