Recently, I was hired to write about some of my favorite things--Warhammer! I wanted to share my opinion pieces here, for any fellow fans of the game. This isn't my typical style or niche, but it was fun to branch out into the gaming side of things for a different site:

FWIW, I'm really into the tabletop version of the game and would love to discuss painting and playing!

Need to get Eisenhorn in here to check it out! I'm excited for Death watch to arrive on the Switch later this year.

I really like the Vermintide games, if that counts.

I played fantasy and 40k but it became a such a hassle. My friends got me all excited to play and I built a 20k empire army, the emperor on Griffin, every hero, 6 cannons, 4 rockets launchers, at least 6 bricks of knights from every order, 100s of gunners and pikeman... we only played once and I took a bath on it. I like 40k better because it's quicker setup and action time especially anything hours heresy era I even bought some of the war forge stuff to make an army of emperor's children, I still have those, but damn do I love the books and the more around 40k.

The vermintide games are tons of fun, but vermintide 2 is still a bug ridden mess of a game and hopefully it gets polished through the life of the game like the first one did.

I imagine it will. As you alluded to, the first got a pretty grand treatment over its life, and ended up a really great game. I've stopped playing VT2 since I capped my Fire Wiz and beat all the missions on Hard. Gonna go back to it whenever they release DLC; I just don't have time to put into the Nightmare grind like I did with 1.

I have a complete set of the original Warhammer Quest waiting to emerge from deep in the closet when the kids are finally old enough to not destroy the components...

(and I have the 3rd edition of Space Hulk on a shelf in my office)
