Updated my score above, I was able to hop on a computer at work and use my controller. Much better. If I can find a solution to play tonight maybe I can get farther

Damn. That's a great score. You must have gotten lucky with the key cards. But I also deliberately increased my score so I could get a couple extra lives.

I hate the cars in stage 6. I can avoid the other enemies just fine, but those cars are hard to avoid and they do so much damage.



 

Thank you.  I couldnt get my shit figured out so I have to use a keyboard from here on out.  If I can beat the game, I'll be able to do it with a low score... but Mr Big makes the rest of the game look even easier than it already is.

I've moved on to Trojan. I'll be satisfied with fourth or fifth place in NARC.

Yeah just couldn't pull it off, lack of time. Me Big takes precision is all I know from not beating him. I should have been more prepared this week but I'll conquer NARC next time. Trojan should be fun. I was introduced to it at a gaming contest convention, but we played the 2 player fighting mode (surprisingly decent). Tinkered with the 1 player once and it's kinda... weird but I own this game so no technical issues this time.

I can't believe I beat you, man. I went from despising the game and totally sucking to getting third place. The difficulty seems overwhelming at first, but it's not so bad with some practice.

I reached Mr. Big that one time. I knew that you had to jump and use missiles, but I couldn't even get a single hit off him.

Nobody else seems to want to play Trojan.

i ended up making past the bridge. I didn’t know what to do with the klowns. Lol. I like this game though. In like most the control came pretty naturally to me. Just figuring what would jump or mussels. But I did eavesdrop in the thread hearing about the control. 

The thing that that is so bad ass about this game though is it’s like GTA on Nintendo and they hid it behind the war on drugs to get past Nintendo censorship. At leas it appears that way to me. 

Pretty cool game. Akklaim has always seemed “cheap” imo, at least on Nintendo. NBA ham, MK. Yes, GREAT games. Probably a few more I forgot or don’t know about. This game has such a cheap feel to it! Lol. It last soooo cheesy. But you are liter literally mowing down peaoe with some type of high powered machine gun and a middle launcher! KILLING (btw) “pervie” type fellows and “junkie” looking like characters. I wanted to keep playing but just can’t put that much in every week. NGII?.... GREAT GAME! Lol 😂 

 

I enjoy NARC now, especially after beating it for the first time. It's like playing a really cheesy 80s action movie.

But it made a terrible first impression.

The fourth level with the clowns is one of the shortest and easiest in the game if you know where to go, and as long as the cars don't show up. You just head straight to the last door to get the key card and then head straight to the exit. The clowns aren't that hard to avoid or shoot.

 

NARC is pretty bad but still so much fun. I never played this back in the day. I would like to play more of it if I could. 

It's a pretty easy game to complete because you get an extra life every 100k points and busting enemies rather than shooting them gives a huge amount of bonus points. I recommend playing through the entire game at least once. The final boss fight is hilarious.




 

Acclaim was probably the only way some of those weird arcade games got on the NES. This one, Trog, Smash TV...

And those games were big arcade hits i think. Maybe Nintendo looked passed some things to get some “street cred” and bring a very popular title to there console????? 
 

I would love to finish this one some time! It is soooOOOoo good. 
 

No game where you fight stabby clowns in front of adult bookstores can be bad. It was toned down a little from the original arcade, but it's still a lot edgier than most NES games. It almost feels unlicensed.





 

You should be able to beat the game in less than an hour. The only real sticking point is the final boss and he's not that hard if you know what to do, and you're stocked up on ammo.
