Hey guys,

My buddy Greg over at CheetahmenGames (who technically owns Active Enterprises now, even has a business card to prove it) has a new project that will be available through a Kickstarter event starting very soon. While it isn't live at the moment of me writing this, I figured I'd post all of the information I know about the Kickstarter rewards and what not.

The first thing you'll see on this Kickstarter page is a video starring Greg, The Angry Video Game Nerd, Pat The NES Punk, and The Game Chasers. The video talks about the project, some of the perks, and has a cameo by the Cheetahmen themselves.

When I talked to Greg about his previous project, Cheetahmen: The Creation, I mentioned that the main concern I, and many of you NA'ers had was the price tag. For The Cheetahmen 2 project, Greg's plan is to make this reproduction much cheaper than the original, but also provide a patch to play the lost levels and complete the game.

Like Cheetahmen: The Creation, this project will be created by the some of the best in the Reproduction business. Boxes, cartridges, and I believe custom sleeves will be involved.

I usually do not support Kickstarter-like projects, but I believe for the most part the prices for the perks are really fair and that it's more like a "pre-order" of sorts than a fundraiser.

It isn't live yet, I have a preview version from Greg, but donations cannot yet be recieved. I believe it will be released later today though, so it won't be long!

One of the levels should include a copy of Cheetahmen: The Creation. Looks cool, I'll be watching for updates.

I remember trying to contact the owner ([email protected]) about a year ago to see if we (NintendoAge) could help them out then in some way. I got ignored, so I'm not so sure I want to help out now. Good luck nonetheless!

No knock on you OP, but I couldn't imagine a less exciting kickstarter.

I think if it includes a write-up and how-to regarding the legit acquisition of the rights to dead IP, it could be pretty interesting.

So for 25k you get cheetah men and a custom painted car?

At least there will be a regular release version for a reasonable price this time.

It is really weird, I made a Kickstarter about a NEW snes Game Im putting together, and It got rejected :S.

are they gonna use the same old ugly art? :s

also...Cheetahmen is pretty popular, I'd rater make a new NES game featuring the Cheetahmen than doing this...
they have potential... they should use that as an advantage!

I'm gonna repeat, they (or him) should get a pretty good team of coders and spriters and make a mix beetwen battletoads-tmnt action game, and I'm sure they would be selling that pretty much!

Seriously, try to refrain from judgment after you see the kickstarter page/video in all its strange glory. 

Is this the guy who wants to sell carts for like..tons of money? I think this is. I am not impressed by this. Should be a 2 cart combo option and that be it. And it shouldn't be no $120+.

Cheetahmen remind me too much of that Chester cheetah guy. Any chance that Chester can be included in the cheetahmen game? He did have two SNES games that werent half bad.

Creation game isn't in a $60 option. Or in a $120 or more option. So therefor, spending $1000 is needed to get it. That's basically a scam just for the 1K tier.
