A newer one is definitely Sinister 2. I only saw it once so far, but it was hilariously terrible, which is kind of a shame since I really liked the first one, but being unintentionally funny is equally as good if nothing else.

Another one like this for me, come to think of it, was Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. Nothing in that movie made any damn sense and it was great lol

Birdemic shock and terror is by far the worst movie I have ever seen.

Check out my comic, The Scientists. It's like a "Genius-centric 'Goonies' that can turn thriller at any moment".

My best ones were mentioned above.

The Wraith
Bubba Hotep
Dead Alive

And also Killer Clowns from Outerspace.  There was also The Cube.  Good and interesting story, with awful acting and made on the cheap.

Also, you can't go wrong with Batman & Robin.
Casting Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze was pure and sheer brilliance!

Any old kung fu classic movie. Especially ones that have cheesy english dubs. The more cheese, the better!

Come on you guys OP asked for only movies where they were self aware and trying to make a bad film. 80% of the posts are just bad/mediocre films where they tried to make a good movie and failed haha

I think I may have not explained myself enough. I don't really want movies that aim to be bad. I prefer the movies that believe they are good movies and they are so bad they end up amazing. Anyone can set out to purposely make a bad film. That's not nearly as hilarious as watching a movie the creator's believe is good and is the opposite. Movies like Troll 2 and The Room are great examples of what I mean. The creator's really believe they are making great movies and are totally unaware that the movies are total shit.

Just picked up Miami Connection on Blu-ray and it totally fits the bill! If you are a fan of MC, then check out Samurai Cop, you'll love it.

Haha oops my bad! In that case I will add the Leprechaun films. Also Hellraiser and Wishmaster. Miami Connection looks great I'm downloading this for sure!

Oh, absolutely. I love that one. It is so, sooo silly.
It reminds me of the good ol' 66 Batman. Adam West was the bomb, even though sometimes he had troubles getting rid of one.

That's exactly why movies like The Room are amazing, and why I will never watch a Sharknado

Like, they just re-made Plan 9 from Outer Space?  I mean, why?  Why do that?  That defeats the point of what makes the original worth watching.

Blood Dragon has to be one of the best and most original DLCs ever made. I had so much fun running around collecting VHS tapes haha!

Miami Connection is awesome and definitely not stupid, unlike cocaine.

Godzilla vs. Hedorah/The Smog Monster is also great, it's a completely out there and psychadelic 70's Godzilla movie, what's not to like? And for one a bit different from the others mentioned so far, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of the most insane musicals I've ever seen, it has Steve Martin and Peter Frampton in a poor man's lightsaber battle, plus Aerosmith as the big villian! If that doesn't sell you I don't know what would.
