I have been collecting pokemon distribution cartridges, and I had to take this particular one to ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221093025...

This Distribution cartridge is in near immaculate condition. Certainly the best conditioned Legendary Distribution cartridge I have ever seen. (I have seen a Celibi Cart in probably roughly equal condition to this, and I have personnally acquired a Zoroark Distribution cart in better shape. IE, completely immaculate, Never once inserted into a DS handheld system)

This is a top tier collectible that any enthusiast (even one who already may own a Legendary distribution cart in a more compromised condition) should be excited to get thier hands on.

Bumping for exposure. I'm sure this near-mint cartridge will make some collector very, very happy.

There are, indeed (while I do collect obscurities, this sort of thing isn't quite for me). Very nice piece, though...I'd like to see where this ends .

I may bid on it... I may not. I sold a pretty pristine (very slight insertion marks from being put in a download station once) Zoroark distro card for less than the BIN on this... but we'll see. I don't normally collect these sorts of things, but I'm thinking of aiming for a full set of DS download cards to go with my current kiosk/download station setup.

Definitely a cool item, and a Pokefan could drive the price up pretty high... so I'm going to be watching regardless.

I've stopped collecting... and now everything is UP FOR GRABS!

What do I have FOR SALE today???

Yeah.  I could imagine these exploding in value 5 years down the road.

If I didn't have one in NM condition, I would be all over this! I'll be watching regardless!

I've done some research on past sales prices, and the earliest one I've seen on eBay was sold in March 2011 for $1,000 (link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120701235...), but the prices realized has become a bit weak. It'ss a shame, since in my opinion, they're the most fascinating out of all the NFR carts out there.

P.S.: Custom covers to keep the distro carts in:

I have seen your mocked up cases on here before. Love them. I've considered trying to make something similar. Alas, I have been too lazy.

The Distribution carts (like most Demo Carts, even "full retail" demos) are sent out to the retail outlets in nothing more than a generic heat sealed plastic bag.

Ahh, but heat sealed plastic bags don't offer much protection

If you PM me your email, I'll be happy to send you the PSD file if you'd like so you can print your own, but I warn you, I have no Photoshop skills so the layers are a mess

I'm still debating... like I said, I just sold one of the other ones of these a while back for cheapish and the last legendary cart to end on ebay recently only went for $102 and change [iirc, don't feel like digging right now]... and I think that one was the celebi promotion that got canceled. I'm interested, just not sure if I'm interested at $100.

100 bucks is a steal for this Cart. In fact, 100 bucks is still a steal for a Celibi (which seem to be less rare.)

four hours left to go on the auction. I think some folks are planning to "snipe" the auction at the end.

It doesn't make sense to me that 20 people would be watching this auction and that not a single one would actually WTB at the ridiculously low price of $100.

This really doesn't bode well though. I have some other pokemon distribution carts, and a whole slough of random NFR carts I was wanting to take to market right now. It's starting to look like this might not be the right time to sell, like this is a lull in a market usually wrought with demand. Maybe I should just keep my collection off the market for another five or ten years, huh?

A bid! Finally. No more $350 dollar "Buy it Now" option.

Funny, I thought I'd be letting this rare little gem go for cheap even at that price.

In the past couple of months there has been 3 or so of these and a couple celebi carts... all have gone pretty cheap. I dunno what the market looked like before, but I sold my Zoroark awhile back for $300 to a local Pokefanatic [their offer] and I'm glad I did. I have just started buying the download carts, so I don't watch the market but it seems like currently $100-$120 or so is the "going rate" (based on the few sales I can find).

When the new game launches, prices may jump back up?  I dunno.

EDIT: Looks like it fetched a hair over $180!  Not as good as you were hoping, but still not bad.  Congrats to the winner!

Heh...  I only went $125.  In 90days of terapeak ebay data I couldn't find one that sold for more than $150 (and that one was listed twice after a failed sale for a little more).  I hope the OP doesn't regret selling and will list some more retail exclusive goodies.

I do regret having to sell. I was hoping to one day "catch 'em all". However, my situation necessitates their sale. I am listing a Celebi cart at this time.

That's low

I don't mind picking up another one, but I hope it goes for much more than my bid

Good luck with your sale!
