I just picked up a pretty decent haul of NES games today that had Willow with manual. The manual in question is plain paper with a single staple in the center, is this normal? If so, are there other Capcom games like this? I am just starting to get into collection Manuals for the NES and would like to know if this is something to look out for in the future.

Yeah, that's how it is, bud. Mega Man 2 and Strider also come to mind that are similar.

That looks like a photocopy which was a very common for rentals stores to do back then. The Capcom manuals around this time were black and white but should still be glossy.

Yeah that is more inline with what I was thinking and the cart does have a rental sticker on the back. Thanks for the help.

Didn't Nintendo reprint manuals for a while from their website?

Iicr, they're not fancy and just xerox copies, sometimes even just being uncut full sheets with the manual page printed on stapled together.

The pictures got compressed when I uploaded. The manual has nice detail in the pictures and the words are clearly readable. It is a well done copy.

I don't recall them having reprints of third party games but maybe they did. Still, it wouldn't be that sloppy.

Found a solid answer on it today. It is a photocopy from a rental store in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. I had missed it on my previous look through. There was a sticker under the picture on the second page of the original manual.
