I found NA during the infamous CIB Stadium Events auction on feeBay; the one where the lady had the CIB in a lot, and she didn't know what she had. I noticed in the Q&A section on the auction that one of the questions mentioned NA. I was curious to see what NA was, and I joined shortly after.

That's my story, too, and I'm sticking to it.

I stumbled on it while googling for NES collecting info. Don't remember what I searched for specifically at the time, but boy was I excited to find a great Nintendo community for collectors.

Accidental find I think through google years ago or off some other website like maybe nesworld.com or tsr's website. I read here off and on for a good long stretch before eventually bothering to make an account back in 2010.

NGD recruited me! This was after I stumbled across his giant NES, which still gives me butterflies and makes me giggle like a school girl.

I was online shopping for a scrotum shaver and one thing led to another.

I wanted to know who was inside me and when i turned around it was bronty and he said na's da shizzle

I knew about NA for a while, but I only joined recently. To be honest I don't know why I didn't earlier. I found NA...well I don't know. I guess when you like vintage video games your bound to wind up here eventually.

Ironically, that's how I also found this place. I got a DUI in March of 2010. I lost my license for 90 days (over the summer, of all times), so during my stir craziness, I googled "retro game forums", and found DigitPress. I joined there, and saw all the hatred towards NA and was like "wow, glad I didn't go there". Well, DP went down for a few weeks, so I joined here. I bet everyone is wishing DP never went down, that way I'd never be here

In a chat, the guy working mentions "NA" in a conversation.

Later that night, I came here and discovered it's nice to  converse with fellow enthusiastic collectors/gamers.

I am huge on retro gaming and have been for years. I remember playing much NES in the 90's and 00's. However, I never knew this community existed until a Google search going on two years ago. Since then the world of reproductions, flash carts and of course collecting opened up to me. My only regret is while I always bought used game stuff at garage sales and the like for years, I wish I would have discovered this place and more hardcore collecting habits earlier when the buying was easier/cheaper.

Let me tell you, starting in this hobby today is very challenging if you do not have deep pockets, but darn it, if you only knew how much I treasure these games and the memories each gives me. I lived these games and whenever I get a collecting "win," it is reason to celebrate.
