This is something that always ends up on my mind after playing with a gameboy proto cartridge (DMG style with the cutout and rom chip sticking out). Whenever I go to take it out, it's always a pain in the ass. There seems to be 3 options:
1: Pull on the rom chip. This is by far the easiest, but to me, I'm not sure I like that pressure point on the chip/holder.
2: Pull using the sides. Except, with the cutout, and no helpful ridges, there's not a whole lot of slippery surface to grab onto here. I feel like I gotta hercules grip the damn thing to get it out with this method.
3: Use your fingy nails to sorta grip that little ledge thing above the rom chip and pry on that. Seems to work, but your thumb nails may hate you after a couple of these.
Me, I tend to go either route 2 or 3, since I'm kinda OCD.
How do you do it? Is there a *gasp* 4th option?
(I realize these are developer items and in no way obligated to be user friendly, just trying to have a bit of fun)
