I found an adapter of SNES to the Gamecube ports on the Wii, my question is if I re pin the NES controller to the SNES plug will the NES controller work?

You could do that, not sure how well it works, but if you don't wanna risk cutting stuff up, they do make NES to GC converters out there for cheap.
