As the title suggest what is the best way to backup an Oringial Gameboy prototype? I have a few an I want to make sure they get preserved. Thanks

I think there's a Gameboy adapter for the Retrode. Never had one to see how good it works though.

Most GB protos that have come through my hands are a single EPROM socketed in. I dump them with a programmer and they fire up without fail in an emulator. Done many, but never any that were soldered directly to the pcb.

Currently a Top3100, though I've used a GQ-4X in the past and it was just as consistent. Pretty much any will do and they're easy enough to use for dumping purposes. GB protos are very user friendly when it comes to dumping, if you need any help just shoot me a PM.

I just wish there weren't a conspiracy among Gameboy Test Cart owners to not dump them...

I just don't know what went wrong!

I don't even own Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt yet!

Please help me begin my NES collection! I've already a Caltron 6 in 1, Cheetahmen II, and a handful of commons! I want to start with the rarest games! Bring me your Little Samsons, your Action 52s, your Panesians and your NWC's!

I've never had any problems backing up my GB proto's with this.^

Not sure if you can order one from there or not, but try searching for "EMS Transferer 2".
