Amazing finds yesterday.

I had a meeting in Marysville which allowed me to leave work early and check in on a couple thrift stores since I had some extra time.

I checked out the DVD/Games section and didn't find anything worth buying at their prices but moving on I found some unopened Pokemon cards for my daughter before moving on to their electronics. There was already a guy picking through stuff but he ended up being super cool once he saw I was looking at gaming stuff. He pointed out an NES, a gamecube, and an Ice Blue 64 (with expansion pak) all for $8 each. My hands were getting full and so were his so I offered to grab us some baskets. When I came back he picked out some N64 games and set them aside for me- Virtual Pool, Hey You Pikachu, a third party rumble pak, and two copies of Mario 64. I also found a GC controller, an N64 controller, and the VRU unit for Hey you Pikachu.

The NES and N64 both work great and am waiting on some cords for the GC to test it out.

The cool guy had found the collectors edition Majora's Mask but was holding onto that one himself and was appreciative when I told him how much he could get for it. All told I spent $76 there.

Later on my luck changed when I ran over a screw and had to get my tire fixed. The Les Schwab I go to is in walking distance to a couple small spots I frequent in Arlington so I was able to check both of those out. It was a good thing I did because I ended up buying six Gamecube games- Tetris Worlds, Super Monkey Ball 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Zelda: Windwaker, and Pikmin 2 for $30.

Super Monkey Ball 2 has the wrong manual (Swingerz Golf) and Pikmin 2 and Mario Sunshine have no manuals but Zelda is complete and black label.

I also picked up a $5 Kingdom Hearts and $9 Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (not a deal but I really wanted to play it)

More awesome finds today!

My wife and kids were off getting manicures or something like that so I had the day to do whatever I wanted. So I hit one (inside of a super cold barn) flea market, three pawnshops, and seven thrift stores.

I paid about $5 per NES game in this picture.

The Kirby games were $5 each, the controller .99 cents, and the rest were $3-4.

Before this trip I had never found an NES game boxed in the wild. Now I found five of them. One of which (The Jungle Book) is still factory sealed. To be honest Simon's Quest did not have the game but had everything else (I have a cart at home) so I was able to get the box w/ manual and styrofoam for $2. Amagon was $5, The Jungle Book was $8, and the other two were $3.

The Jungle Book still has it's hang tab. I'm going back to where I found this next Friday because I talked to the person that owned the store who said that they had only a fraction of their game stuff out and that they will bring everything to the shop next Friday for me to look at. They mentioned they had one more sealed NES game that they will bring then too. I'm bringing lots of money.

These X-Box 360 games were all .99 cents at a Cash America Pawn.

Some more nice and cheap pick-ups from various stores. I really like the Super Hylide, a complete Civilization 2, and a complete Dino Crisis.

Also a couple .29 cent finds.

Friday finally arrived and....she forgot to bring all her games/systems in. That doesn't mean I left empty handed though.

I still walked out of there with a working Gameboy Advance SP, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Gold, Jackal, a couple Genesis games (Top Gear 2 and Outlander), a gamecube game disc binder, and two NES controllers for $35.

We also talked about the Intellevision she had in the store for $70 with a bunch of games and assorted manuals/papers. I told her I'd do my homework on the system and get back to her on it. She also promised that next Friday she would have all her game stuff in.

Other than that I stumbled upon a bunch of NES games at various places today- In all I picked up:
Castlevania 3
Megaman 3
Super c
Shinobi
Castlequest
Captain America and the Avengers
Knight Rider
Faxanadu
Dragon Spirit
Gradius

Plus Crystal's Pony Tales and Sonic 2 for the Genesis.

I also picked up about 32 issues of Nintendo Power and three strategy guides (Mario 3 Advanced, Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, and Final Fantasy 12) at a thrift store for .25 cents each. A friend of mine also gave me the Final Fantasy 11 online Atlas. I'll try to post some pics later.

I may have spent somewhere around $250 today but I think I did rather well between my three stops today. Anyway here are the pictures!

A few PS2 games (and one GC game) I picked up. Most of these are complete. The Code Veronica is like my sixth copy currently.

More common games but the pokedex is in great condition.

This is my first gamegear. The FF8 is nearly perfect other than a crack on the case. It was sealed and the person I bought it from insisted it was brand new (they didn't know since it was a pawn shop) but it was missing some key elements like the PS label on the top. I opened it to make sure it had everything.

I paid $200 at another shop for a wide variety of items, which included some of the items seen above. I got a very sorry looking NES, two very clean Zappers, a very nice NES controller, a filthy NES Advantage controller, an X-Box 360 battery charger, a third party SNES controller and the power cords to an NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube.

Here are 23 NES that were part of the lot. Nearly all the games I got had dust covers. It's a bad pic but most of these games are common: SMB/Duck Hunt x2, Willow, Star Wars, Dirty Harry, Amagon, Double Dribble, The Rocketter, Narc, Digger T. Rock, and others.

These are the gems of the NES games I got: Pirates, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, Megaman, Double Dragon, Final Fantasy, Uncharted Waters, and Destiney of an Emperor.

This was included too. Seems to be pretty rare and the most valuable thing I picked up.

I also got a massive amount of manuals, posters, and maps.

Here are some of the best ones in the piles. Star Tropics even has it's letter still.

I spent too much today so let me know if you guys want anything.

I took a couple weeks off from searching for games so that some places could replenish their stock before I wasted too much time traveling for nothing but I spent a good five hours hunting today and here are the results:

Lots of power cords! I purchased my first gamecube recently and had no cords for it and ended up trading for some on NA but since then I have found three gamecube power cords when I had found none in the last year. I also picked up power cords for the SNES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy color, Gameboy Advance SP, and a RF adapter for the SNES/NES.

Some cheap old video game magazines and a CIB copy of Uncharted Waters for the PC.

All the games were cheap but Pokemon Red was a steal at $5 and it looks amazing.
The Playstation Magazine Demo disk is the all RPG/Final Fantasy demo disc from the August 2001 issue of Playstation magazine.

This was my best find of the day. A PS One with the LCD screen. It came with the carrying case, a memory card, the AC adapter, a car adapter, and a Spyro game. It's very clean and works. The pawn shop I was at was getting ready to close so the guy told me I could have it for $15. I spent $25 total there and got God of War and all those cords too.

Thanks, that was a find from a couple weeks ago. That place loads up stuff me every couple of weeks to check out. I went in there today and we are trying to set up something next weekend. It's nice to have a hook up from some one that buys lots of storage units.

Nice Bangai-O several posts up. A store here has had a copy forever at a bit over $20 which isn't too bad but I keep finding things I'd rather get instead. Also I see that DnD book you picked up, I have one very similar to that, DnD Unearthed Arcana from 1985 if you're interested in it. Dunno if you picked that up for yourself or to resell, figured I might as well ask though since I've had it sitting around forever.

Hell yeah! I have hook ups with some of the local thrift stores, but nothing with any storage buyers. You have a killer contact there. Hope they give you some good deals as well! Contacts are such a great thing to have when hunting in the wild

I hadn't hit up Everett in awhile so I spent most of my day checking out some of the shops. I came home with lots of stuff but after counting my cash I suprised myself by spending far less than I though for all this. I spent around $70 for the following items.

I found four more consoles. Three were at a Value Village and were $6.99 each. I passed up two Segas for the same price. The other Gamecube was at a Goodwill across town and I picked it up for $3.50 because it was half off. It made me sad but I passed on a cordless NES at $14.99

Here are some games. Nothing great except for Godzilla, which is among the rarer X-Box games. I picked up the NBA GC game at .99 centsjust so I can use the case for something else.

Here is the better stuff. I picked up Command and Conquer and Medabots at $2 each, the SP at $6 (it's in rough shape but I had just sold a sivler SP to a friend the day before so it was a nice find). The SNES game is Super Widget and I got it for $1. What's really cool is the brand new DS case holder that I bought for $2.99 at the Goodwill in Marysville.

And finally some cords and controllers. I paid $1 for the PS controllers, $1.50 for the X-Box controller, and $3 for each of the NES RF adapters. Plus $1 for the gameboy transfer cord.

Another good day but I would have liked to have found more nintendo games for any system. Also a heads up to my fellow collecters in my area- Cash America Advance on Broadway in Everett, WA has a Fire Emblem Path of Radiance for $39.99 right now. Also there are dozens more of those DS case holders (not all have Peach though) at the Goodwill in Marysville for $2.99 brandnew so make sure to pick some up if you need them.

Another trip out and a few more finds. Most places I hit up were pretty dry though.

Assorted cords and controllers. Great prices on there though. I got the Atari GemStik for $0.29, the zapper was packaged with the Nyoko gamecube controler and nunchuck for $4. The SP charger was $2 at a pawnshop but since I come in so often lately and buy stuff he gave the $2 I gave him to my 3 year old daughter for being cute.

I bought another DS cartridge case for $2.99, the Yoshi case for $0.99, and NBA Jam was a buck. I picked up the Pokemon cards for my older daughter whom I take to Pokemon League at the local gaming shop (some great rares in that pile too).

Luigi's Mansion CIB at an amazing price and in great condition. That Steel Battalion: Line of Contact is sealed.

I think I over paid for this ($14.99) at the thrift store but how could I resist.

Next week may bring some great stuff as my storage unit buying hook up will have at least a another box of stuff for me to go through. I'm probaly going to need some money so I will be updating my for sale list today.

I had some more quality finds today. A total of five stops and $50 spent.

I picked up a complete and working Gamecube (my fifth one this year), a few cheap games, and a filthy N64 missing cords and a jumper pak. The games are Crash Bandicoot, Nascar 2000, F-22 Interceptor, and LHX Attack Chopper. Nothing special.

It was half off on pink tags at the Goodwill finally so I picked up four more Peach Ds cases at $1.50 per. The Princess Peach game was CIB and only $5 at one of the pawn shops I hit up all the time.

I saved the best for last. A factory sealed M.C Kids in amazing condition. No bends, tears, creases, or markings of any kind. Hang tab is still on and it has the H seam. I bundled it with the filthy N64 and the cheap games for $25 from one of my hook ups.

It is very sweet but I noticed there were all sorts of things like this on Ebay for $25-30 and the one I bought had some scratches on it and was untested at the time.

Long as it works alright I'd be happy to have paid that for it I think! Also I noticed you're getting original Gamecube controllers out the wazoo, I'm languishing with a MadCatz controller over here if you wanna set up a trade for one or something

Here are my latest finds from todays run.

I found 30 NES manuals for $6 at a new place I found today. There are some really nice manuals including The Lone Ranger, Rockin' Kats, Power Punch 2, and Power Blade. There is a problem with all of them though in that they all came from a video rental place and all the covers were protected with wax paper. This has preserved them nicely though.

A few odds I found. A sealed Ecco the Dolphin game and a sealed Dreamcast VMU (both of which I am unsure of the authenticity). The Fix-A-Pad has been used but it seemed really cool for 0.99 cents.

Some games. The Pinobee is sealed. The Captain Silver is interesting in that it came with it's manual, an Alex Kidd manual, and an Afterburner poster.

More games and a couple manuals!

Here is some good stuff. CIB NES games. The Golf is in great shape and is of the 5-screw type. No waxy manuals either. $7 for both of them. I paid $5 for the NES controllers.

Another awesome N64 find. All cords, a green controller, and an Atomic green deck for $15. I also happend to pick up another atomic controller the previous day. My daughter was stealing the GC controller as I took the picture. Not pictured is a GC memory card.

Hello again NA Friends.

Most of my finds this weekend where all at thrift stores and pawnshops that I hit frequently.

The N64 storage case was $5 but it needed some love. The controller was $4 at Goodwill and the games were $1 each except for Mario Golf which was ten cents. Mario Golf was ten cents because I was at an elderly thrift store and the cashier said she didn't know what it was but it looked like a cassette. Cassettes were ten for a dollar there.

Clock Tower 3 and Evergrace are in great condition and only ran me $3 each. Tekken 2 was $1.

This is the start of a great pawn shop pickup. I frequent it often so there is rarely anything good since I grabbed it all but after grabbing Clock Tower 3 and Evergrace I stumbled upon a box of Nintendo stuff. I grabbed a pile of stuff and the guy behind the counter told the cashier to make me a good deal since I come in and buy stuff often. Everything was $3 each for me. The next three pictures show that pile I bought.

These games were resealed but the boxes are amazing and they all had every insert. The only flaw is that the carts have a rental store sticker partially affixed to the labels. These are my first CIB SNES finds.

My second black box Golf this month. The Tetris and Mario 2 boxes were free since they had no games in the box for them. They are pretty beat up but still good for $3 per.

A couple things I found but did not buy: A boxed Sega Genesis for $25 and a watermelon N64 for $50. I realize that the Genesis was a great deal but I just could not get excited about it since i'm not a Sega guy.
