Alrighty...  I knew this day would come, but the choices were all unclear.  But now it's not.  I'm going to do.....

.....Simon!  The four color memory game.

I'm thinking of dubbing this project 'Simic'.   A union of sorts between Simon and Mimic.  And you mimic things in the game anyway, so why not?

I think this one will be a less-difficult project as I've gotten familiarized with a lot of concepts since my first one.  I've put together some sounds and music for the game already and have the infamous "Sivak presents" in there.

Sound like a good project?

Sounds good to me. When is your other game coming to my local game store?

When I add in 40 more puzzles and when I confirm or deny I can do something with audio I want to do.

I'm thinking of having the game look like this:

http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8493/simondemokm3.png

Each color corresponds to a D-pad press.  The game screen hasn't been drawn yet, this is just a quickie draw up in Photoshop.

Anyone like/dislike this?

I'd like to see it like an actual Simon toy. Remember them? The way it was rounded and what-not? THAT would be awesome! Put a good "shine" on one side too. A good way to figure out the point with light on it is too use photoshop as a mock up.

Great idea man, work with it!

Well, I don't want to make it look too much like the toy because, technically it has patents on it still and in the incredibly unlikely event someone cares, well, you know.

I actually have this craze of gem-looking games.  My last one had gems, and now things are diamond shaped...

My second idea was to have that exact same image, but with a black diamond in the middle of all of it, so it looks like colored arrow tips pointing in all four directions.

I love seeing the new projects like this and Hellraiser surface. Just make sure to finish up your other project and get it into cart form as well though. Or consider a multi cart for several games

After some work today, I have a preliminary screenshot of what the main game screen could look like:

Any opinions?
