He got me too.  I can remember it like it was yesterday...

I was just browsing videos on Youtube like people do, not bothering anyone.

Then, at the very last moment I knew what was about to happen.  I knew it.

Still,

I couldn't look away.

The game is really great.  Our family has been playing it together in the evenings since we got it.

Kind of like we used to do with games back in the 80's.

Snagged the white LE. I did end up buying the ROM for 10 bucks too. That's ok, this game is worth a double dip.

Missed out on the white CIB but still super stoked! I dedicate my boxed copy to my pet lizard from 1996.

Wow, was able to get a white one earlier, but wasn't thinking it would sell out so quickly. Looks like a fun, unique game.

Bought the rom, playing it through my PowerPak. Why do the stone messages get cut off? How do I read them completely?

Also, is there an objective to the game other than just exploring? Will it ever be possible to attack enemies instead of just avoid them?

The world exploration is the big sell of the game. Discovering the different lizards, learning how each lizard interacts with different enemies, objects, etc is how you progress the game. Certain lizards are needed to complete the various boss sequences, and by finishing all 6 zones, you can get to the ending. In terms of attacking enemies, there is the fire lizard that can attack some of the smaller enemies, but that's not really the point of the game.

Ah, the joys of playing games before the internet. Have fun!

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Zelda used to make me feel like this as a kid. Since we only had the cart and no map, I was completely lost and what the point of the game was. Never understood until about 7 years ago why everyone raved about Zelda. Makes me excited for Lizard to arrive.

Did you try contacting him?   According to the order page, orders would start shipping out this week, so unless they get much delayed, I don't see any reason for him to communicate any further.

I added some extra items to my order, and was told that it would probably ship out early next week.

Fear not, I've worked with him for years; what is going on is he works insanely hard and has too much on his plate. Don't worry.

I got my copy of Lizard and had a chance to spend a few hours with it last night. This is an absolutely brilliant and beautiful game. The wait was well worth it. After a couple of hours it dawned on me that it's not one giant metroidvania with one final ending, it is more like 6 or so interlocking smaller metroidvanias. This fact makes the game more approachable, I think. I had felt a bit intimidated at first with my initial assumptions, but once I realized that's how the game was set up its like the pressure was gone and suddenly I was addicted. Haha!

My favorite music: The underground forest/roots area music, and the snowy area music. (so far) This is inspiring stuff.
